WHICH IS THE BETTER ? IPV6 OR IPV4 ON LINE UNIFI

WHICH WANT I HAVE TO CHOOSE?
A) IPV6
B)IPV4
C)IPV6/IPV4

I prefer IPv4 cause shorter, easier to remember. To date, I have never successfully recalled an IPv6 address correctly. The closest I've come to is face:b00c, the other parts forgot already.

The answer goes to B. IPv4 only

I go for C) IPv6/IPv4, to be exact, Dual Stack IPv6 + IPv4.

IPv6 is the IP protocol of the next generation and like it or not, it is set to replace IPv4 in stages. In the Asia Pacific, there are no longer any unallocated block of IPv4 addresses anymore.

If we do not switch to IPv6, eventually, ISPs (even TM) will have to assign private IP addresses, which in fact has been done to Streamyx subscribers on lower package like 1Mbps. Even HSBB providers like Maxis Fiber does so.

+1 sometime ipv6 better to assign addresses

I prefer IPV6 as it gives everyone a unique IP Number. Currently I use U Mobile line with Hotspot connecting my Windows 11 box to the Internet.
Windows IIS that runs on my local box can be accessed anywhere. Of course, as many internet users still have old hardware that do not support
IPV6, I use Cloudflare to proxy IPV4 traffic to my IIS box.

Question is what's the purpose for you to use either IPV6 or IPV4.
For me currently, i'm more lenient towards IPV4 as it suit my purpose.
When IPV6 fully established then i will choose it without a hesitation.

You dont choose to use IPv4 or ipv6.
Its your computer decision to use what you have and what remote server support.

Easy answer, (A). However on my network I run IPv6-only and a seperate network for IPv4-only.

IPv6 IS already established, for a long time actually.

The big content providers are all on IPv6. But just like anything new, it takes time to transition over.

I've been using IPv6 since 1998 and it is mature and stable.

IPv6 is first class citizen, sooner or later it will be everywhere.
