i used 960m to play overwatch, on ultra setting, i can achieve somehow 60-70 FPS in practice mode, while in quick play i achieve around 50-60 FPS. i did not notice any lag or whatsoever.

Have the same specs as you but with 16gb ram. Can achieve at least 50fps on ultra too.. Perhaps check your laptop's temperature?

whats ur PC temp? i can achieve 60 fps on ultra, but then the fps will drop in the middle of the game. temp around 70celcius-78

I'm using Illegear z5 with the above spec, on windows 10. could it be the ram?

Should be about the same as yours, doesn't seem to have any throttling. I think it should be normal for 970m FPS to drop a little bit when there are a lot of things going on ultra, otherwise it's a smooth 60 FPS for me too.

I don't think ram matters much, perhaps other users can enlighten us on this issue ?

Pc temperature is high or low? Did you block your lappy air ventilation?

Before sending in;

have you tried furmark? Or Intel XTU's monitoring software?

Check your HDD, GPU and CPU temps. Your Z5 should have outstanding cooling abilities. When I meant outstanding, it shouldn't even reach 90c at all for CPU and GPU under full fan (the laptop's own fan) blowing. If something is, probably it needs servicing.

Once that's done, look again at the Intel XTU and let it run as you play overwatch. See how the temps kick in when the turboboost is activated (its activated automatically).

Sometimes that's the one that causes all the headache.

have you upgraded your windows from a previous windows recently? (not that its a good thing, but its worth looking into it as one of the causes)

Hi BlizzardCraft,

Have you assigned nvidia dedicated GPU to the overwatch in nvidia control panel? Are you plugging in your power source during gameplay?

Send it back to illigear and let THEM sort it out. If their service is as good as we heard, it should be solved in a jiffy.

Don't be silent on this one since you already paid lots of money for it. They are not gonna bite you or anything.

Yup, agreed on it. Sometime we as an "expert" might cause a lot of unnecessary problem happen.
