Did you get your router detected even though it's flashed with n7000 firmware?
Or does the router have to be connected to internet first? My router still not connected to modem btw
*
Yea, the app detected the router as r7000 instead of ws880.
I guess ur router need to be connected to Internet 1st in order for ur phone to connect the Internet and auto detect the router ure using.

Glad to know you're finally on the correct firmware

By the way, where did you find the stealth mode in AsusWRT? I tried looking for it but couldn't find anything sweat.gif
*
I'm not at home right now to tell you the exact location setting but if I'm not mistaken the stealth mode is located at "tools > other setting (2nd tab)"

That's TM's own gateway
Nothing to worry about
Found it. Thanks man
By the way, why aren't you using the Asus DDNS?
It'll enable you to access your router from anywhere thumbup.gif

Except my office where the company's firewall blocks all DDNS sweat.gif

I'm still new to networking stuff, so much to learn. Will try it when I'm back home. Thanks

Is this ""boot the emergency upgrade page"?  hmm.gif
*
Have you assign ur ip address to 192.xxxxxxx.1 at ur setting as shown by sHawTY from previous post.
And no, that's not the emergency upgrade page, emergency upgrade page only contain 1 or 2 line of word where it ask u to upload ur Huawei trans.bin. The page u screeenshot is ur Huawei router page. Try use IE or edge and enter 192.xxxxxxx.1 after u release ur reset key.

Loaded the bin file.

Upload completed. System is going to reboot.
Please wait a few moments

The Internet LED on router is blinking, but there is no reboot.

p/s
I click continue. It showed me the CFE miniweb server.
Then I chose the the firmware and click upload.
Then the browser went offline.
Waited few minuted, it went online again and sent me to the CFE miniweb server again.
The "Internet" LED on router is still blinking intermittently.

How to tell the flashing is completed?
*
if its completed, it will say upload completed almost the same as bin file result and when u try open 192.xxxx website, it will lead u to asuswrt page instead of cfe web.

Guys, I need help.

I managed to reach the Emergent Upgrade Page and uploaded the modified WS880_trans.bin.

The next page shows Upload Completed but it didn't boot to the CFE miniweb server as per the guide, even after 60secs.

So I clicked on the Continue link on the Upload Completed page. However, it shows page cannot be displayed. Tried to access 192.168.1.1 on both chrome and IE but no result.

I repeat the 'power off-hold reset button-power on' process and I still can't access 192.168.1.1. The Internet light is still flashing on the router.

I don't know what to do now. Please help me sad.gif

QUOTE(wiLzz @ Jul 20 2016, 12:49 PM)
Guys,

Appreciate some help here. I managed to get this router at the very attractive price, thanks to you guys over here. I managed to successfully flash the router to ASUS-XWRT firmware, but somehow i couldn't get it to connect to unifi.

I'm very sure my unifi password is correct, as i just installed new unifi 30mpbs, and i've snapped a picture of the password given by the installer. When I plug into TM's default router, it will connect in less than 15 seconds or so. But when i plugged into WS880, it wont connect.

I've key in correct user ID and password for sure. After that when detecting connection type, it always say time off.
I can see the WLAN and WPS light on WS880, with WLAN blinking (indicating wireless user connected) and WPS light permanent on. I cannot see the INTERNET light. I've done a soft and hard reset, but still couldn't connect to unifi.

Any ideas? Could be the new firmware, somehow i miss the steps or the firmware is corrupted? Can i reflash it again using the same method?

have you tick the "special requirement for isp" box below the password column.
