Added on June 24, 2007, 2:10 pmand what's the batch of ur proc? can't remember wat batch is my proc...threw the box away..ooops using cascade cooling....build up 3 days ago...still need some tuning and tweaking though.... temps is around -70C...underload -60C ish. vcore at 1.65v...using three PSU to power up my whole system...main PSU is cooler master 600w iGreen rohs triple 12v rail just for my mobo...additional PSU to power my fans and drives...and the third one to power up my GFX card. I am actually being held back by my RAMS....my hyperX ddr2 800 isn't that great...i have to get my hands on Crucial Ballistix 8500...then 600FSB shouldn't be an issue. anybody care to loan me a pair?....haha. |

QUOTE(sHawTY @ Jun 25 2007, 05:56 PM) Phase change is just like those you can buy off the shelves eg. Asetek Vapochill and Prometeia Mach 2 GT...single compressor...temps is around -40 to -45CCascade is basically using 2 compressor to cool. refrigarent from on compressor is cooled by the other to get even lower temps...around -70C. Can be tuned to cool around -100C. |

QUOTE(§layerXT @ Jul 6 2007, 10:33 AM) extremeocer, did u 1:1 between RAM and FSB? What ur timing though. SuperPi very sensitive to RAM rather than high clocks FSB. Didn't take screenie of the ram timings...but they are running 1:1 at 1064 5-4-4-15. I don't have a OCable rams, so the only resort is to loosen the timings to run 1:1. someone pls loan me a pair of good rams please |

Genting would be a nice place...but think the temps there around 18-20C not good enuf but adaquate for cascade cooling as it helps prevent condensation.

well...i'm doing -65c at full load on my cascade....need to redo my evap to get even colder. If i have a apir of Ballistix or even a D9xxx rams.....11s and below PI times would be very easy.

QUOTE(§layerXT @ Jul 13 2007, 12:33 AM) Sub-zero overclocking sure very nice. For now ur stable operation still 4.2GHz? Stable at 4.3Ghz after switching to Crucial D9GMH rams...which is 90% OC....not bad for a e6600. F3 bios works best for me...the new ones have FSB strap crapping issues. F3 also have FSB strap issues but its far more stable.....Ur previous BIOS better than new one? Was gaming for 4 hours on my Cascade |

hmm...this proc seems good for cascade benching.....4ghz at 35c.....5ghz+ would be possible i guess with -70C. But right now DDR3 performance isn't any better than DDR2 platform based on those PI time.
The proc defaults at 3ghz so 4ghz at 1.5v is reasonable.....my e6600 @ 4.3Ghz needs 1.57v...so its roughly the same but this proc definately show lotsa promise of its low temps. This post has been edited by extremeocer: Jul 15 2007, 11:22 AM |
