QUOTE(basSist @ Jan 7 2007, 06:28 PM) u are asking "any good in overclocking?" buthen not for o/c purpose. then why did u wanna know it? a just question...Every single unit proc has different overclocking potential. we cant really tell u that izzit good in overclocking. Even a proc from a famous batch o/c range will fail or not good enough probably. To determine the overclocking by batch number is not really a correct way. What ya have to do is test it urself. burn and fry it with ur knowledge and at ur own risk perhaps L29"b" i believe it is from Europe and it is "more" overclockable. Anyone can clarify if i was mistaken? reason.. i have 3 of this cpu with me. was thinking of keeping one if it can really overclock well at low voltages like the average l28b seems to be popping up in a lot of forums... both 3 of them was meant for 2 of my friends... but gee i can keep one give them one each... instead of ocing my other intel rig which i dont like too cause the cards are too hot , the mobo gets too hot.. even though the cpu is reasonalble... so like have one ocing rig to dunno simply play around with?? |

ok tried it on friends p5b mobo ( he was curious too..heheh)
3.6ghz at 1.4v hmm thats pretty good oddly enough czone has this batch i think they have only 3 left while the whole low yat seems to be selling the l631a e6600l629b383 heard somebody in istanbul manage to oc this to like 5.4ghz with extreme cooling but yup kindda hot even at stock. just hope will be the same as the evga mobo that i have decided to buy to go with this...weirdly newegg its retailling around RM850 and malaysia selling it at 1299 to 1399 geee This post has been edited by cstkl1: Jan 8 2007, 04:41 PM |

QUOTE(gengstapo @ Jan 8 2007, 05:59 PM) err ran orthos stress and blend at 1 hour and seems to be fine.was runnin at my mates comp so... geee hmm wish didnt ship my intel rig so early...sishhh but geee from what i can see hmm if can clock this to 4ghz and pair with the 7900gto sli which nobody here seems want to buy...sishh... should hit the 200k mark in aquamark easy... now considering and trying to find some dough ( anybody wants to buy unit trust)hehehe... to get the coolit freezone cooler...hmm pricy...but gee if it gets the job done...gee..also...errr think my electricty bill will go way way way up...errr... also wonderin i hear that in many forums that in extreme cooling that when they start oc some of the chipsets on mobo voltage had problem with the sli... in reference to the asus p5b.. wondering will same problem crops up with the 680 .... not that i am going to go overboard but just wonderin... any benchies at crazy oc using the 680??? coolpart about the mobo i am getting...heheh made my couz in us ordered it and err let the guys in crucial test it before bringing back here....worries..they go overboard with it... hope not if not will take a flight to boise idaho and start kicking some american ass... errr actually not even sure they are americans... QUOTE(gengstapo @ Jan 8 2007, 07:11 PM) walao.. impressive imagine a sight...but im very interested with the quoted statement can u run some benchies for us, or atleast beat this crossfire setup HERE comp all ready cpu in hand card in hand only sish.. mobo tak ada..... couz lands on the 16th.. bro wedding.. so get the mobo then.. but really it can hit... http://forums.extremeoverclocking.com/show...d.php?p=2552966 topgame using L630B. nicepun supposed to have told me his hardware details this weekend but was like busy at work or something so..gee he forgot.. windwithme with x6800 3.7ghz with the card oced already doing 192k i think. question is....do i have the nerve of seeing my temps rise if i even cross the 3.6. assuming that my mobo can do it...with no probs... assuming also that i can repeat 3.6 1.4 on the evga mobo... also hmm reading reviews of ppl with high ram speed with tight timings do deliver quite a number of fps more. so does that mean i have to like clock my rams as high as i can... cause geee dont have rams that can do that unless gee start frying them with high vdimms... wonder just a question y nobody ever tried like transfering heat from hot cpu systems either from each component to like i dunno a cooking set above or keeping food warm or something like that... doesnt that seems like a good way dont waste energy.. also this two jokers were using a 975x chipset with the big sams 84.something driver... err have it here somewhere in my hdd... so wondering using a ngo 93.81 will it be the same??? also...hmm question using modded driver may have problems with future games right for sli?? what if nvidia gets smart and makes game makers support chipsets for sli features?? is this even possible?? time to ponder.....so much risk....... also isnt kcync not posting his highest clock rite for am3??... saw the superpi result... cause from looking at http://www.ripping.org and http://www.xtremesystems.org/forums/showthread.php?t=92232 he already crossed the 200k barrier.. yeah
a lot more. it depends what ure running bro. liberty is awesome but look at the amp railings on the 12v example my zalman has 4 12vols, each at 16v but the last two 12v more for the pcie cards... so have loads of power for a graphic card. zeus cooling is way better. con part is zeus is not modular. but it supports the latest eps mobo liberty doesnt. www.modernopc.com call him later larr.. me support moderno y?? cause eventhough the price about the same as anywhere else. but easy leh just call supplier/distributor if u want to check stock. then call moderno and he will get it. if not ask him to call. second his place is in subang...easy... hate ly cause a lot of ppl windows shopping and loads of ppl talking crap that this is good but has no clue about what they are talking about This post has been edited by cstkl1: Jan 16 2007, 08:22 AM |

rams i tell u go crucial directly.
also would recommend kingston what i look for in rams... stability, motherboard compatability, speed, timings and has a office for easy rma. corsair is having loads of reviews.. but geee i used to buy rams from them and always have to send rma. i think thier higher end rams are ok. but checkout even newegg or tigerdirect.. u find a lot of rma compared to kingston and crucial who rarely ppl buy and have problems |

y i bought the zalman
its 599, modular, got the led bling i like, excellent cooling and silent and the 12v rail each has 16amps with total of 62amps...and take efficiency rating of 84 percent which is freaking good.. should be able to pump 54 amps for all the rails and the last two 12vold rails is more for gpu so 54/4...13.5amps..think not bad.. correct me anybody if i was wrong at this |

again dude
u skimp now u will keep changing psu everytime u want to upgrade my advice buy expensive casing, psu, mobo and ram others u go reasonable and upgrade along the way. u sure about the price at rm500?? look at the ammps for railing if ure thinking about rm 500 y not rm 599 for zalman, u get modular, heatpipe cooling, led fan and hell of a lot amps for each 12v rail and it supports the latest eps atx mobo ( 8 pin) http://www.modernopc.com/store/index.php?m...products_id=730 |

yeah the silverstone is pretty good
but the award was based on the 650 watts rather than the 560 the zalman is super cool. depends what ure looking for actually i was looking for modular, 12v railing, support eps, kekek led for fan, and also has a 5inch bay for load reader... best i could find was this.. but no load reader |

QUOTE(irenic @ Jan 16 2007, 03:43 PM) act, if u like to browse in other forums such as vr zone, xs, dfi streets u'll find that crucial got numbers of rma as well.. yup correctu said lot of rma for corsair? u answered it urself. kingston and crucial people rarely buy, so the rma rate is lower than other brand... but maybe the percentage is the same another thing, for me the important thing when buying stuff is budget. lots of budget u can buy expensive stuffs, small budget cheap stuffs. the best stuff for u is the best stuff ur money can buy. best stuff for me not necessary will be best stuff for others.. enermax, silverstone, zalman all are very good psu.. i dont think u'll get disappoint with these brand i hope everbody gets that whatever i say is based on my opinion only. |
