I lost track with the post already, anyone using e6600 ES version? what is your core temperature?

i got mine for 2 days....
using ATX tower
e6600 ES (din't OC)
TT Big Typhoon VX

my core temperature using TAT
IDLE: 68 - 72
Full Load: 80 - 81

but bios CPU temperature shows
IDLE: 26 - 33

which is the real one? if core temp so high, anyway i can lower it down?

non-aircond room

Bro.. i m just check ur pm, i though u said ur BIOS temperature also show 68-80c. sweat.gif . For me bios temperature will be more accurate than the software in windows. Me also using TTBTvs now, also got the same result like u in BIOS, but my mobo BIOSTAR temperature monitor software giving only more 5c than the BIOS temperature.

How bout the temperature read from TAT? Izit accurate also? Coz if i read the temp from bios, the result is always lower than what i get from TAT, so i not sure which 1 is more accurate...

Guys, after so many posting about duo core temp. Temperature read from bios is not so accurate. Diff Mobo had diff reading which is very had to do comparison....that is why TAT or CoreTemp was widely used....I am not sure how accurate it is...but at least it act as a "standard" temp measure tool for duo core proc.
So, I would like every1 use either coretemp or TAT whenever involving Duo Core temp....
