Guys I plan to get core 2 duo and a mobo, I wanna ask the maximum ram voltage for the Gigabyte PDS3 mobo (or any recommendations) , can reach 2.1/2.2V or not? My mushkins now run at 1.95V cannot oc so much cos my silly AM2 mobo max is 1.95Vdimm (going back to intel camp)

If Intel mobo can't overclock, how you get your E6300 to run @ 3Ghz anyway?
@vey99 Get Gigabyte P965 DS3, with F7 bios, u can have 2.5v max, so more headroom to overclock your RAM. |

so i said to the 2nd guy that the 1st guy mentioned bout INTEL board with intel chipset, not gigabyte board with intel chipset.. i even mentioned before that this new xbx called xbx2 is a good overclocking board. |

are you guys talking about the ds3 rev 2.0 or the ds3p? I'm getting confused now. What's the difference in ds3 rev 2.0?
Ahh. found the answer. QUOTE Here's how to distinguish between rev. 1.0 and 2.0 on the DS3. The rev. 1.0 uses the Marvell 88E8053 gigabit LAN chip and the new DS3 rev 2.0 uses the Marvell 88E8056. so I guess i have the rev 1.0 This post has been edited by vassalle: Dec 21 2006, 02:20 AM |
