updated mine with SuperPI result with CPU-Z capture...

superPI: 17seconds (1M)... is it ok?

when i try to increase my multiplier to 9 with 380Mhz FSB to get 3.4Ghz, i need to bump up my Vcore to 1.5V but then my temperature not stable using air cooling..already almost reaching 90'C at TAT...

need water cooling next liao...hehehe...
*
TAT dont read ES proc properly, what you see there 90C may be correct but it also mean it is wrong , just check your software reading temp and add 8-15 to the temp to get and estimate of your core temp smile.gif I think SpeedFan is an alternative for ES users like us smile.gif

Hydey : GG not yet try la, been sick for 3 days now rclxub.gif

the thing is apparently asus purposely put the vdroop there according to some sources. kinda weird dont u think?
*
safety reason? but I doubt ppl buying those board AND don't overclock so its kinda pointless sweat.gif vdroop is really annoying on asus board , most of the board suffer the same fate of 0.05-> 0.1

badaxe2 is good but then the DFi infinity p965 seems to be better in many aspects
*
Well that board is definitely going to be great , but until it is released, I won't be putting a high hope on it.

Bad Axe2 on the other hand is already proven its stability/overclockability and definitely be one of the top in my next motherboard list tongue.gif

Well I have good impression on DFI due to their awesome AMD board lineup and if they do the same to this 965 then it might be a winner , afterall the initial test some review got it to 545 FSB blink.gif

And I have read somewhere this board , fsb to fsb (or clock to clock), it is faster than any other 965-based board wink.gif

yeah.. but dont u forget that xbx2 vdroop is almost second to none.. so if u set the vcore to 1.6, then u will definitely get maybe 1.595v, and there is also enchanced power slope setting to ensure the vcore is stable and consistent.
p5b premium is not a good board, and i dont see it as high end mobo wink.gif
A word from an owner of BX2 thumbup.gif

Asus Vista series board really just a ripoff IMHO, using Vista tag on a hardware is something I would never attracted to... what the heck Vista Certified/Ready stuff doh.gif Even mouse also need Vista certified

First attempt OC my DS3+E6300, not dare to push too much as i using the stock HSF. Tried 500FSB 1:1 on this Kingston Hynix Chips with no prob, back to 450 for daily operation smile.gif

Temp reported in Core Temp 0.95 is higher than others apps reading, is it a bug?
*
Its normal , cause it shows the processor core actual temperature instead of the usual temperature

BTW, nice overclock, might get higher if use aftermarket cooler wink.gif

PS: no desk mod already? tongue.gif

I just want to ask something about OC C2D. I see C2D is rated FSB while AMD is HT Link. What's the difference? I know OC AMD must keep HTL under 1000MHz, but what about C2D? OC C2D must keep the FSB under how many MHz? And AMD has HTL multiplier, mostly X3, X4 but what about C2D? Is there any multiplier?
*
No maximum for C2D smile.gif Well AMD HT can have a multiplier so its not really a problem either smile.gif

anyone reccomend me a cheap but powerfull PSU? my Icute is now underpowered and I cannot get the overclock to stable. It will shut down my USB ports to get the power to the processor
*
Whats your budget? If its around 250-350, try to get Enermax FMA/Liberty or Silverstone Strider/Element

gah, I only have 150~200
*
Then you have to settle with CM Extreme tongue.gif Seriously invest an extra 100-200 on the PSU, its one of the most important part, more so especially when you want to overclock

Hey, mind sharing what should i tune in my bios? thanks smile.gif

If overclocking setting, look here

http://www.overclock3d.net/reviews.php?typ...otherboard_p965
http://www.tweaktown.com/reviews/1028/5/pa...king/index.html

Disable C1E if you don't want the cpu to underclocks itself when idling
Disable Spread Spectrum
Set PCI clock to 33.33

Most of the setting is actually applicable for all the motherboard smile.gif
