Will Noctua NH-U12F do? tongue.gif
Actually already ordered the Tuniq 120.
The problem is, all those performance Aircooling HSF is damn tall...Tuniq 155mm, same goes for the NH-U12F...my praetorian 732 has very slim chance of fitting them without having problem of closing the side panel. I'm taking the chance here of buying the Tuniq...
Any recommendation icon_question.gif  - on aircooling...WC? I'm the President of Orang Malas Club blush.gif

Yup. But having hard time playing with both the DFI Dark and this Q6600.
I dunno which one giving me trouble cry.gif 2.9G on stock (1.285v) is ok but higher than that even 3G seems to be 'impossible' no matter with what voltage...sux to the bone man...

Actually IMO tuniq and U12F perform almost the same. So I am sure its will perform much better than ur current one.

Interested with WC? Its will works much much better than air. hehe.

it's already at my sig

can't remember wat batch is my proc...threw the box away..ooops

using cascade cooling....build up 3 days ago...still need some tuning and tweaking though.... temps is around -70C...underload -60C ish.

vcore at 1.65v...using three PSU to power up my whole system...main PSU is cooler master 600w iGreen rohs triple 12v rail just for my mobo...additional PSU to power my fans and drives...and the third one to power up my GFX card.

I am actually being held back by my RAMS....my hyperX ddr2 800 isn't that great...i have to get my hands on Crucial Ballistix 8500...then 600FSB shouldn't be an issue.

anybody care to loan me a pair?....haha.
*
Nice setup... If you really want to push ur proc to the limit, crucial balistix isnt good enough. Get those from Team Xtreme. Though, balistix is much cheaper. Hehe.

Come on bro....push more....your QX has a lot juice in it... biggrin.gif

okay...anyway, here are my results

Bro, ur superpi is kind of slow for your speed. Tweak it more. I am sure you can get sub 12 or 11 sec with ur cooling.

finally able to break below 12s PI

*
Congrats.... May I know what is ur temp?

QUOTE(extremeocer @ Jul 6 2007, 12:03 PM)
Didn't take screenie of the ram timings...but they are running 1:1 at 1064 5-4-4-15. I don't have a OCable rams, so the only resort is to loosen the timings to run 1:1. someone pls loan me a pair of good rams please smile.gif
*
Actually your HyperX is good enough. If your ram is not that good or like my case where my ram cant go high speed, use higher multipler and less FSB and RAM speed.

QUOTE(toughnut @ Jul 6 2007, 12:36 PM)
seem like many going past 4ghz lately.... possible with air cooler? really doubt it.
*
Air Cooling.. Why not? Dark Scythe reach that and I believe coolice E6600 can do that too. As my old E6600 can reach 3994 using U12F.

QUOTE(intothefantasy @ Jul 6 2007, 02:28 PM)
just a fast question for the pros...sifus...i wanna ask is that is it fsb value oc liao higher then the corespeed means is better?

let say like 500x9 = 45 and 470x10 = 47

with 47 higher then 45 for the corespeed but fsb 500 higher then 470...is this mean fsb is more important than the corespeed? which is faster? or we must test with programs?
*
Actually, FSB isnt that important if u just benching for SuperPI. CPU and RAM speed is more important. So if u are benching for SuperPi, try to use lower FSB. Lower FSB = Less stress on NB = More stable smile.gif

@VT-Ten

It is most likely due to your GC overheated. Did you OC it ?

Something weird about it... Seems that Core Temp and Everest 4.0 cant show the CPU temp correctly for E6850 as Asus Probe temp is much higher than those showed on CT and Everest.

Anyway, E6850 is a nice and cool proc. Reaching 4ghz is like walk in the park. Currently priming at 3.8Ghz 1.4Vcore.

Oh ya... The result is from my new board; Asus P5K Deluxe.

My DFI Infinity P965-S already been reserved. Thanks for all the interest.
