wow... 1.3125v??? very very jealous... my fren got a L630B last 2 weeks n it oc very badly oso... can't even touch 380fsb @ 1.5vcore... maybe his board (p5b)problem oso (i suspect my mobo, ab9, can't go too high)...

neh, i dunwan to downclock my multiplyer... doesn't see any point going down except to reach high fsb but 400 x 8 = 3.2ghz but 370 x 9 = 3.33ghz wor... i wanna go 400fsb coz my ram is pc6400 mah... juz wanna do 1:1 to c how good/bad they can be...

btw, any mobo (c2d) good for mild oc (400+ fsb), low v drop, no need lots of vmod (can't understand most of the diagram) n has a lot of 3 pin fan support with software (like the uguru, coz it can go really silent automatically at nite when i'm sleeping with air cond on)...

^w0ot?? wanna get 400 x9 stable?
sure can but u need a nice gem

or perhaps, a higher vcore around 1.46 - 1.55 sweat.gif
*
huh?? is it hard to do 400fsb x 9?? well, i know it'll take 1.5vcore or more... but it'll be ok as long as it doesn't owez work in max load n oso keep load temp below 70 should be ok guar... dunno leh... as said currently running 370... u guys did orthos stable with ur setting oso rite??? btw, me using air cooling only... n not very large unit... AC freezer 7 pro n silencer NV5 plus 40mm x 23 high rpm fan for nb...

is abit aw9d-max worth to consider for my next change???

Yeh lai, I think can. Later i play around with the cooling and i try to up the MCH on the board first. Just now i tried can use CL4@DDR1000 for the Asus mobo, so should be same for Biostar cos I didn't up the MCH, so the max i could run it was CL5@DDR975.

I GIVE UP.  vmad.gif

Impossible to go over 500FSB. Anantech ppl how they go 500FSB asso I don't understand.

I go throw into tong sampah.  vmad.gif  vmad.gif

BTW, you are looking at Asus P5N-E SLI  vmad.gif  vmad.gif Put heatsink and fan everywhere asso useless  mad.gif
*
i can ask gdex ppl go ur house to pick up the board n thorw it to me in sabah if u dun mind... hahahaha...

QUOTE(gtghost @ Mar 18 2007, 12:17 AM)
You need to get some expensive ones, ask for recommendation, cos Biostar confirm don't have that much 3 pin fan. You serious? I thought all B series should be very good, for 1 thing, check cooling. If using stock intel heatsink fan, cos the processor cannot touch all of the base. I started like that asso  sweat.gif
Ah thanks bro, Is default 1.315 or 1.325? I thought it was 1.315??? It's on biostar 965PT.
Abit was good last time, but for C2D i am not sure, best bet for now, biostar. The higher multiplier, the harder to OC.
*
for my fren b series, v tried changing hsf a few times, change board for testing(use on my ab9), change psu n gave up..! i guess not all b series can do amazing result... might be luck..! n gtghost really having 1 BIG luck... biostar??? i like that board oso, cheap n amazing but no 1 sell in sabah n oso no support in sabah...

QUOTE(remeron @ Apr 21 2007, 05:09 PM)
Need some help here..
Just purchased myself a E6300 and Abit AB9 Pro and KVR 667 2x1Gb RAM

The thing is i can only go up to (350x7) 2.45Ghz with my C2D.  And the vcore i need to run stable is at 1.375V.  What am I doing wrong?
THe part i don't understand is the "N/B Strap function" and the "CPU:DRAM" section on the uguru OC section.  I understand that the cpu:dram ratio is when i need to run the FSB at a different speed from DRAM, and the difference is calculated in ratio.  But this abit mobo, has only preset DRAM functions.
ARRGGHHHH I'm confused.
*
n/b starp just leave it at 1066, cpu:dram set to 1:1, ie, default 4:5, fsb 350:437.5, ram is running at 875mhz... dat's too much without some serious tweaking at the ram timing n vdimm...

up ur vmch, vmchio n vdimm too... (add a 40x40x10mm fan on top of the nb will help cooling it down enuf)

the rest of the cpu functions (in bios) ie:

c1e
intel speed step
virtualization
EIST
bla bla

all disable...

my previous mobo with e6600es... it did 370fsb x 9 stable n cool for daily usage... but i only use them for 1 month +, then sold...

400 x 9..? i'm using 1.55 too but idle at 56 dig... load is 70+ dig.... sad.gif

so i went back down to 370 x 9 at 1.375 vcore... btw, i'm juz using a artic freezer 7 pro though so if i change to something bigger i guess it might help to shave off 5 dig..

what mobo is good at oc if i use e2160 proc. i only know 2 mobo that good. DFI P965 Dark and Biostar 965PT. can u all help me choose or there are other mobo that better. my budget for mobo is around 500. btw. im building low budget pc. thanks.
*
hey mou la la... wink.gif hehe, jk.. i think since u r picking a budget proc, it doesn't justify to get a mobo that's too expensive, else if u r going to change proc very fast... i guess any 965 proc around rm350 will do very well for oc up to 300+ fsb... otherwise, there r a lot of p35 mobo around for about rm500...

saw very good oc result (unmod) of abit ip35-pro mobo... wonder if it'll be in malaysia soon... i've asked their distro but not avail yet... giga va-p35-ds3 seems much affordable for fun... rolleyes.gif

btw, does wc nb help much in oc??? aiming to do 400 x 9 24/7... going wc the proc asap the kit reach my home... rclxub.gif
