interesting.....
you should take some time to look out for the JTB offers on tours for foreigners. From Nagoya, Kyoto/Osaka should only be around 10-12K yen (less than RM400) for a round trip Shinkansen ticket and a 3D2N stay.
If you are interested in castles and stuff like that, it would be worth checking out 二条城(nijoujou) in Kyoto or Himeji Castle in Hyogo. Those are the few castles left that are not "reconstructed" or "rebuilt" (IOW, "Original")

I find this very odd. JTB Malaysia is all in Japanese without an English version..

my advice on that is to concentrate on castles that are not "reconstructed" or "rebuilt"
there aren't many of them around I think.
those 2 I mentioned are the only ones I can think of at the top of my head
Himeji is said to be the most beautiful and magnificent of all the castles, and rightly so. you should visit it in the spring if you have a chance.
Kyoto alone is over a thousand shrines and temples and it may not be feasible to visit all.. rclxub.gif rclxub.gif
