Took these pix to catalog my dishes, frankly it's a lot of work because need to set up lighting and take photos fast as soon dishes are ready.

At times when dunno what to prep for meals, I'll just look into my food photo album.

Prawn noodles soup. One of my favorite. With the right soup base, everything will turn out nicely.

Thanks! Eating out too much can get a lil sickening at times, nothing beats a nice home cooked meal.

Totally agree. Part partial it's healthier because you can control quality and also enjoy cooking and exploring different sauce, spices and style.

My problem is I always get back late from work and cook. I usually cook simple dishes to eat.

Pan sear scallops with sauteed mushrooms. A mix of butter and oil in pan in order not to let butter get burn. The scallop I've got are the frozen ones from Japan.

Scallop must not be overcooked...even for a bit it becomes tough... Needs quick sear and baste...

Also there are two types of processing...one of it is the worse kind and makes it rubbery even if you know how to cook it...

If it's lembik lembik...perhaps it's not fresh...

Bought them from Jusco MV. Japanese scallops, was surprised by the freshness. Good quality indeed, price should be around RM150 - RM180.

Cooking is one of my interest, food prepping process can be very therapeutic. As for baking, it started out when wife complaint the lack of nice butter cakes around as most had vanilla extract in it. So I thought how difficult can it be to bake a nice butter cake, that's how I took on the challenge, start my research and so on.

It's good to learn new things everyday, load oneself with vast knowledge.
