Newbie here to stock exchange...

I've opened the direct CDS account and trading account at Maybank Investment in Jalan Maarof.

So...the next step for me is for me to wait for Maybank to call that my trading account is activated and give the password. Heard we need nee to wait for 3 days, then somebody will call.

or

i need to activate myself at M2U, however there are 2 options:
Maybank Investment Bank (formerly known as Aseambankers)
Maybank Share Investment Centre

Which one do i chose?.

Both.

Wait for them to call and give you all the necessary details, then you have to activate it your own.

After logging in, in m2u, go to investment -> online stock. Click on first time login and proceed from there.

Guys, I'm a newbie in stock trading. Just opened CDS and online stock trading acc with maybank.

Then, I transferred money into my trading account, but it shows up as negative in Trust Balance. And, when I tried to buy stocks, it says exceeded trading limit.

What is wrong here? Do I have to wait a couple of days for the Trust Balance to be positive?

Your trading amount ( the buying value ) is larger than the value in your trust. Normally, a trading account is up to 3x the value inside your trust. It might vary, some is 1:1.

Say you got 100 inside trust, your trading limit is 300. Any amount above 300, you gotta contact your dealer rep to open up trading limit for you. No issue if your trading value is below 300 (0.99x).
