Hi,

I have this problem after I recently passed through a big bump and hardbraking when driving around 50kmph with Myvi auto.

Since then, after I complete brake at stop (eg. traffic light or stop at corner) and release brake pedal and accelerate to drive, I intermittenly heard somekind of "klok klok" sound from the left side tire area ( i think is rear left). It also intermittently happen when doing turning/cornering after I brake. I wont hear the sound when I release brake but only has 1 to 3 times klok sound when I started to press on accelerator pedal to continue driving. I also will hear the sound sometimes when I press hard on brake pedal to stop car. The noise is not loud (noise level is like klok klok noise when brake caliper pin worn out/loose), it is like knocking sound from the suspension area. When driving, I don't hear any of the sound.

My car just replaced brake caliper pins, absorber mounting, brake pads, disc rotors, rear absorbers and all 4 new tires in last 2 months ago, so all parts quite new still. Done alignment also after I hit the big bump.

I went to mechanic and they tested my car which they said the sound is actually come from the front left side of suspension, not rear side. They jack up my car and checked the absorber mount, absorber and brakes, and it all seems ok , no leaking or bent part. They suspect the sound might be come from front absorber which replacing it will remove the sound. They said there should be no problem and its safe to continue to drive the car without replace the front absorbers. Just the sound will be there still.

Anyone has this issue before or does replacing the front absorber will remove the sound ? I afraid after replace the front absorbers, the problem is still there...

I had just recently replaced new brake caliper pins, pads and disc rotors in May, then also replaced engine mounting for RH and LH, front absorber mounting and rear absorber. Done alignment and balancing for all 4 new tires in June.

Only front absorber/strut haven't been changed.

Funny part is it is not a consistently klok klok noise when driving, it just sound after braking at full stop and release brake pedal, and accelerate pedal to drive the sound comes out, just like when stop at traffic light or road junctions at full stop (or press hard braking), release the brake pedal dun have the sound but sound appear when I press acccelerate pedal to move the car. Pressing and releasing the brake pedal don't have the sound either. It just appear the sound for like 2 seconds klok klok 1 to 3 times max when press accelerate to move/drive the car (after release the brake pedal).

I have done brake bleeding and brake fluid change as well as replace the front brake pump in April 2014, still got +-3,000km before it reach 20,000km interval.

It doesnt have any sound when driving straight, even on uneven roads, road bumps or speeding at high way. The brakes are working fine . just the intermittent sound dunno come from where and what causes it.

yes. I got this "klok klok" noise with my Saga (2018). Only happens when brake slowly or full stop.

Going to check on my next service.
