Hi there, i'm trying to import some cosmetics from abroad like ABH, Colorpop and Kylie lipkits to Malaysia for personal use and to resell but it won't be in huge quantity. It'd probably be about 30-40 items per package.

However, i'm slightly discouraged seeing how there are many experiences of people saying that their items or parcels got detained by Malaysian customs and they have to submit a pharmacy notification or something like that to retrieve their parcels?

I've had plenty of experience receiving parcels from abroad like wigs, hair, clothing, eye serum and a lot more. Most of them were from the USA but my parcels were never detained. However, i have never ordered cosmetics from abroad.

Can anyone share your experience of ordering cosmetics abroad if you've done it multiple times and if your items were detained by customs, what did you do to sort it out?

I'm concerned about this because i don't want my money to go to waste if they choose to detain and confiscate it icon_question.gif

You're on a somewhat right track already. Continue with your research.

Need to be a member, then register each SKU (subject to approval). Once the items are registered in their database, it won't be detained. Just pay the tax for it when it arrives.

The logistic cost is gonna kill you.
