Hi Guys Can's seem to find this in Malaysia market. Anyone knows where I can purchase this? Some website. www.ussunlight.com www.solatube.com www.veluxusa.com www.nltubular.com www.elitesolarsystems.com Mostly all outside M'sia! There's one in Puchong selling Fakro SolarTunnel, quoted me RM2.5K without installation. Overseas - item cost only USD200-300 depending on size. Thanks! Attached thumbnail(s)

I veer towards NLTubular. The best are smooth pipes rather than ribbed/creased pipes like shown in the picture. It has better light transmission fidelity i.e. lower losses.

QUOTE(ozak @ Jul 5 2016, 05:19 PM) Get it online and ship over. Ask some contractor install for you. Probably only cost you RM1.5k Rm1.5k is equivalent to the cost of electricity of a 10w LED bulb switched on nonstop for 43 years @ average rate of 40sen/kWh. Or the yearly interest earned from RM1.5k FD placement is enough to cover the electricity cost to light up a 10w LED bulb non stop for 1 year + a new replacement LED bulb every year. Just a view strictly from costing perspective

i showed an contractor and he diy-ed for me.
material required;
roof tiles (but clear transparent plastic) metal since glass some wood
he climbed up and decided the best place to put. replaced the tile with the transparent tiles. bent the metal zinc into circle. rivet it. created a wooden frames (top and bottom) to keep the shape. cut a hole at the ceiling board below. put a glass.
all done. i did at two location. most expensive item is the transparent plastic tile. two workers one day. not the most beautiful but works.

Do you mind sharing the PIC... worth a thousand words. One from inside and one from outside view. DIY -very practical but how's the brightness level?
