What a pity. But was it from Lotus? Lotus made some changes to Toyota's 1.8 unit to produce 190hp, naturally aspirated and it was with valve timing technology(among other things).

It was probably due to cost or something.

The Exige 240S, 240hp from only 1.8. But supercharged la. But the rumoured supercharged Waja can happen with the help of Lotus.

Yeah, they are good at modifying an engine.
