QUOTE(fruitie @ Aug 28 2016, 01:52 PM) Yeh, rate is really good. I just got back from France and tested against Citibank, PBB, Aeon and Maybank. AEON and my Ambank WMC were best rates. However, a few auto petrol and highway toll machines didn't recognise my Ambank card (and the others). Had to use Citibank, which was ultra annoying Also not sure if my overseas spending qualified for the Spot 8 promo, since I couldn't figure out which was the approval code on the merchant slip. Very different format from our local slips. |

QUOTE(Human Nature @ Aug 28 2016, 03:39 PM) Am using WMC..i think it is random because I did get an 88 for spending above RM80 but didnt get the CB. At all the shops and restaurants I went to over 3 weeks, the machine automatically asked for signature on all my cards. Even those which had 6 digit PIN already like my PBB and Citibank. None of my cards were rejected at those places with people manning it, only automated machines. Any issue in using signature for your Ambank and 6 digit pins for PBB in France? My ambank is still not pin and pay ready while I read they are using 4 digits pin in europe, I have UK issued credit cards too, using 4 digit PIN, and those were recognised in France as PIN enabled. I didn't use them much because GBP was at all time low so no point to pay using GBP. |

QUOTE(kenlui @ Aug 29 2016, 06:51 AM) And for the balance transfer, all u need to do is to give their CR a call, tell them the amount u want to BT, the card no and it's done. I couldn't find the 0% BT promo anywhere - there are quite a few promos, but all with interest attached. Haven't done Ambank BT before, and have held my card for 6 months already. |

QUOTE(pisang @ Aug 29 2016, 11:06 AM) early this year, there was a 12-months 0% BT available , together with the Cash Back RM388 promotion. Ah OK. I got the RM388, but didn't have any BTs to do at that time. Now the new school term is coming up so I'm thinking to pay everything upfront and get early bird discount, then BT over 12 months. Right now the only 0% available to me is PBB and AEON, but both 6 months only.Looks like it s no longer available now. |

Did anyone apply for supplementary cards under the luggage bag campaign (top spenders within 2 months from approval date) which ran from 15 April to 31 July?
Based on T and C, looks like first batch of winners should be receiving luggage soon. |

QUOTE(pisang @ Sep 14 2016, 08:22 PM) i think you don't waste your effort. pls go straight to one of the branches to apply. Just to share, I applied for my principal and 2 supplementary cards in July via email with no issue. Emailed amcard-csd@ambankgroup.com and was contacted the next day to verify. Process was fast and painless.i got mine in about 2 weeks. |

QUOTE(michaelho @ Sep 15 2016, 09:37 PM) received booklet with detachable coupons for B1F1, no need pin . makes the B1F1 app redundant, uninstalling I received the B1F1 mailer a few weeks back with no PIN. However, today my 2 supps (but not me!) received the physical voucher booklet. I personally like the facial offers and will probably use dining ones too. |

I've got loads of questions for you hehe.Anyway, just received the 24" luggage bag for supp card. The "promo" or contest was back in apr-july time. - When did your supp sign up and spend? Do you mind sharing how much? - I signed up for 2 supp cards, 1 spent RM5k, the onther only Rm2k. Both in July. - Did Ambank contact you before hand, or just deliver to your house? Thanks in advance. |

QUOTE(ftan @ Sep 28 2016, 04:30 PM) Hi, sure. Awesome - thanks for helpful replies. Hope I get lucky too!- Supp card signed up was end of April. Spend slightly more than 5k, if I remember correctly. - Ambank contacted supp card holder before sending the luggage. Tracking number given by sms by courier. Courier even waited for me to come home as I was out for a short while. |

QUOTE(MGM @ Sep 28 2016, 09:52 PM) All this while I only transfer within the same bank's accounts like from creditcard(CC) to savings. Never new can transfer from CC directly to other bank's account. The only one I tried was HLB to MBB, and they didn't ask for anything jus account number. Simple phone call and no charges. I was super surprised! |

QUOTE(MGM @ Sep 29 2016, 02:13 AM) Then I will do a 10k PBB BT from HLB, excess fund of 9k will credit to HL Mach moneybox n then IBG to MBB for GIA-i. Monthly uplifting GIA-i for BT monthly payment. Sounds like a good strategy. Just a little word of caution (although you probably don't need it). Before I do all these transfers to CASA, I always think of back up plan just in case bank suddenly doesn't allow and money gets stuck in the CC. For me, I'm not sure worried about money being stuck in PBB VS because monthly expenditure on all my PBB principal plus supp will definitely be RM10k plus (within this, got monthly BT instalment of 6k). So worst case scenario is one month of excess credit. For HLB, I have Wise and Fortune CC which will usually hit 6k per month. Again, money won't be stuck long. I don't dare to transfer to cards like Citibank or UOB where I spend less than 1K and hardly use. Then will really have headache if money stuck there. The above is just for precaution... But in all my cases with PBB, HLB and MBA, never had an issue. I've tried several times with each of those named banks. |

QUOTE(pisang @ Sep 29 2016, 08:31 AM) sorry guys... im a bit stupid. just to make things clear. Yes, correct. And its not a stupid question first apply BT at ambank to HLB credit card. Ambank will then pay HLB CC account the amount. second, transfer the amount in HLB CC account to any other account e.g. saving account at MBB via IGB. third, get the cash at saving account and pay the monthly installment BT at ambank. am i correct? for sure i understand the risk. i just wanna confirm the whole process that you guys mentioned. thanks. QUOTE(MGM @ Sep 29 2016, 08:34 AM) Yepp, I know that they're OK transferring to same bank, but for those where I don't have CASA (e.g. Citi and UOB), very risky. The last resort is of course to cancel card, then they probably have to refund you. |

QUOTE(Human Nature @ Sep 30 2016, 01:54 AM) Each of my 2 supplementary cards received THREE letters (1 without PIN, 1 hardcopy booklet, and now 1 with PIN).I received 2 (1 without PIN, 1 with PIN). Now I have a whole bunch of mailers lying around, but am quite annoyed at how badly organised this campaign is. Didn't even bother downloading the app, as I think the hardcopy booklet is eaiser to manage. |

QUOTE(laymank @ Oct 6 2016, 03:08 PM) App and booklet have almost identical merchant lists (didn't check one by one, but majority of the major names all popped up). However, the mechanics of the app seem complicated to me. It lists down each location for each merchant, and have to click individually. Has anyone tried redeeming anything? Perhaps I'm a bit of a dinosaur and can't keep up with technology lol.Hardcopy booklet is quite small and easy to read. Just tear voucher and spend with AMB card at any of the branches. Difference is that hardcopy vouchers are limited. I'm not sure if app can use again and again at the same location. I have uninstalled the app and will just carry my booklets since I have 2 |
