I applied for my WMC / VI earlier, then realise there was a booth that offered free luggage so I called the CS and they told me they would cancel my earlier application and I can go and reapply.
Few days ago I was told my application was approved then suddenly the guy called and say it was the earlier application that was approved, so no free gift. I'm pissed because I checked twice to see if it was possible before I wasted my time going to reapply.
Can I lodge an official complaint?

QUOTE(mamamia @ Jul 27 2016, 04:58 PM) Do u jot down officer name that help u to cancel the application n the one that apply for u? If yes, u can write in to ambank n let them investigate.. Yea, I will be doing that. At least get it on record. If cannot say cannot then I wouldn't have bothered, waste my time and effort.

QUOTE(fruitie @ Aug 30 2016, 11:37 AM) No limit so long banks approve. QUOTE(lipfung @ Aug 30 2016, 11:52 AM) That's what I questioned him, if there are any rules from BNM that doesn't allows a person to have a lot of credit cards. He says that he will not submit to HQ for processing. bro fruitie is only partially correct. It is not BNM ruling, it is your potential exposure to credit that is the issue. By holding too many credit cards, your potential exposure to holding too big of a debt to service is there, thus they do not want to take that risk.

QUOTE(maskedchan @ Aug 30 2016, 01:06 PM) 1st, fruitie is not bro. 2nd, the bank officer not from credit department and he have no right to reject application. assessment happen in credit department not from branch bank officer 1. joke la thats why got smilie.. 2. Nope, they have the right to reject any applications. Credit department assesses certain aspect of an application but retail will look at other factors. And the case above are likely coming from an agent, so they are also allowed to be selective of their customers. The only thing that is wrong here is the intentional/unintentional misuse of BNM's name to cite an non-existent ruling in their explanation to the customer.

QUOTE(lipfung @ Aug 30 2016, 12:31 PM) Is not the credit limit or any debt issue, is the officer issue. He doesn't even want to submit my application. All that he say is I'm holding too many credit cards, so he doesn't want to submit. If my application is submitted for processing, then rejected, credit limit issue or debt issue, I'll accept it, because I seriously did have a lot of credit cards and approval is based on bank's decision, the thing here is that d*mn bank officer doesn't want to submit it. I've called AMbank previously, they say that the only way to submit application is via bank branch not email or fax. No choice. *I do not have any debt issue, I've never late on my credit card payment. Not is not debt issue, it is exposure to credit issue. Some banks don't use that when assessing your DSR, some do.

QUOTE(laymank @ Aug 25 2017, 04:00 PM) are you planning to use it for retail or just at PPL visit? For PPL, if my memory serves me right, there was no PIN asked. No pin was asked. They just ask for boarding pass.
