Read through this thread and it is very helpful and a great find that the cards are free for life

It seems that there are total of 4 cards: VI, VI-i, WMC, WMC-i
I am thinking to apply for WMC due to better conversion rate than VI... right?
Now comes the questions for WMC-islamic or normal WMC, any difference? (islamic with additional golf benefits?)

Or it is necessary or possible to apply 2 cards both VI and WMC?

anyone know if application approved, can we collect the card faster (without postage) by going to nearest branch or headquarters?

HQ is in KL right?
i'm from Penang...... seems like no chance for me to get the card before I fly off next Weds, thinking to utilize the airport lounge : (

For my case, it has been very frustrating.

Last Wednesday I called to check my application status, then the CS told me the principle card (myself) was approved but supplement card is pending.
Then CS recommended me to visit the nearest branch to check and get principle card first.

Today I visited the nearest Ambank branch, they said they can't do anything.

Basically:
CS told me -> Go to Branch
Branch told me -> Call CS

The original address is to my house, but I will be going overseas for a couple of months next Wednesday.
It seems that there is no hope to get the card next Tuesday : (

Another funny conversation with CS just now:

Me: I get the information via another CS that my principle card was approved but supplement is pending.
Can you help to check if I can collect via branch?
CS: In system only can see pending. Who told you can collect?

Me: Can you help to check previous CS record, she should have the information you need.
CS: Can not check lah

Me: Can you help to update the address or put comment in the application? Because I will be going overseas.
CS: We only send to the address you put in the application.

CS: Where you stay lah?
Me: Penang, do you want my full address?
CS: Oh... Penang...You know lah, our credit card processing 2-3 weeks. The only thing you can do is wait. (Change Topic)

Me: Can I speak to another person?
CS: Now is CNY, long holiday... you call again after CNY lah (Change Topic again)
Me: Ok. Bye.

I also don't know why separate approval... In the application I remember I put share the same limit.
I thought usually bank use courier which should be reaching in 1-2 days within Malaysia.

Depends on your luck... Some cs are very nice and friendly : )
So finally I wrote them an email yesterday but had no respond yet.

By the way, anyone tried the online credit card status check?
It needs the IC and application number but I don't have the later.

Another question, how to know which CC was approved?
I tick both WMC and VI.... lol

So far my experience with Maybank CS is better than Ambank.
Ambank 2 out of 3 contacts with CS was fine.

Just another info sharing:
I called CS to change to overseas address but it is not possible for new cards.
If didn't activate the card for whatever reason, then have to wait 6 months cooling period to re-apply.

I hope different CS won't give me different information...

Yeah, that's the reason I want to get it this week.
Also not possible to change address, that's the problem.

May I know how to check what card type was approved? Must call CS or can check online?

anyone know if the CC PIN can be changed other than ATM?
I called the CS to activate my card and they told me PIN only can be changed via ATM.

They able to send the CC to me at my overseas address but PIN must be done in Ambank ATM, this makes me wonder it seems that I can't use this CC unless I go back to Malaysia once, haha.

may I know the minimum spend of RM1500 is combination of two Ambank CC or single card?

By the way, just tried spending on both cards, and the exchange rate of WMC is much better than VI !

Thanks, sadly the T&C does not mention total spending on few Ambank CC can be accumulated to qualify for the campaign, hmm....

for the lounge access, can the card be used for another person?
eg: wmc for myself and vi for my partner.

each supplement card is also entitle for single entry and not must be the same name as printed on card?

I will update here when I try it out, actually mostly the airports I visited do not have Ambank listed PPLs so didn't have chance to go any PPLs yet.

By the way, which PPLs is nice? Just curious, Haha
