Have not received my card despite it being almost 3 weeks since my card approval. At this rate I wouldn't be able to enjoy the 10% cashback promotion. Customer service's hands are tied as all they can do is expedite my request to the relevant dept.

I feel that Ambank is artificially delaying card delivery to avoid new subscribers from using the promo. Any ideas who I can complain to? Would this be under the purview of BNM?

Yes, got the SMS saying card approved, and that the card will be sent within 1 week. (Which turned out to be BS)

I also got an SMS asking me to activate my card (trolling me?).

You are right, just my frustration getting the better of me. If anything, they're guilty of shitty service.

Ultimately, I'm just looking for an avenue to get this resolved, and was wondering whether BNM is the right channel to go to.

Nope, no SMS saying it's been sent out.

They don't know - apparently the team responsible has not been returning their queries. I asked for the tracking number (assuming poslaju) and CS couldn't even get that because the team is not responding. I spoke to 3 different CS and my problem is already recorded, but with no resolution. All the record says is that it's a vendor problem (which could mean Pos Malaysia or the co that embosses the cards).

In my latest call, I asked the CS to note that I am demanding a verbal explanation from a senior person in the responsible team, but considering their lack of response, that may result in nothing as well.

The problem is despite me asking them to just declare the card lost and send me a new one, the CS are still insisting that they need to get a response from the responsible team first. I'm not sure what's their policy on how long must a card delivery be missing for it to be considered as lost.

Just an update: I still have not received my card, almost 4 weeks since it got approved. Called CS almost every other day, they've been helpful trying to track down the card but no one seems to know where it is. Asked for it to be sent to the nearest branch (to make it easier for them) but it never showed up (supposed to be last Tuesday). Asked them to declare the card lost and send out another one, but (CS was initially resistant, saying it would make delivery even longer) that didn't seem to help either.

Asked to speak to an officer from the credit card centre but have not been successful. The CS folk have been helpless in dealing with my situation, as no explanation is forthcoming from the credit card department.

I am open to suggestions on how to further escalate this.

Yes, my problem isn't caused by the CS. You can tell that they're trying - some even called me with a follow up (and I could sense some frustration with the situation in their voice too).

Update: Finally got my card (sent to branch). Kudos to the CS folk, they even got me an extension for the rebate campaign.
