Update: Received my free 24" Valentino Creations from supplementary card campaign (signed up in May). Hoping I will receive another for my 2nd supp card which enrolled in June.

For this kind of special requirement, you will need to check with bank directly. They may allow FD as income requirement is 120k.

Just saw the free bag I got from my supp card in a shopping centre. It's quite good quality and was selling at RM260 after discount (price tag says 930).

I ended up giving it away to my maid, who loves it!

What promo is this? Which shopping centre and when?

This was a supp card promo by Ambank (from 15 April to 31 July). I received the bag just recently.

The picture was taken at a luggage sales in 1U - its exactly the same bag (Valentino Creations Bobcat II - the medium size).

I read from a previous post that someone else also received their luggage, but just wanted to share the photo in case people are still waiting for their bags to arrive.

I received this sms from ambank:
RM0.00 AmBank Card: Get CASH of RM15k & Sharp 50" LED TV at 36mth @ 8.99%pa till 31/10/16. Reply GIFT1<space>IC<space>trf amount to book. T&C apply.

What does it mean? Apply 15k get free TV?

hi all, i recently applied for the WMC and sent my required docs (KWSP, payslips, bank statement, ic) via email to customercare@ambankgroup.com. today i received a call from an officer who requested for a face-to-face meetup. he said that this was the bank's new initiative to "know the customer better". he asked me to bring along my kwsp (despite me already sending the softcopy via email) as well as my original IC. i asked whether i could apply at a branch in person, and he tried to discourage me by saying it will take 2 months to process. does anyone know if this is a scam? this is the first time a bank has asked me for a face-to-face meetup for credit card applications.

U better call to ambank n verify whether this is their new initiative. Doesn't sound right for ur case.

Exactly the same thing happened to me in April this year! It was a guy too and I think he said something about me having to sign my kwsp in front of him to verify.

But he said I could go to branch to meet him.

In the end, all the nearby branches for me were far from his. So he said to me he will process my application without face to face, but if someone from the Approvals Department calls to check, I should say that I met with him (gave me full name), at XX branch and XX date and time. He said sometimes they spot check and better to make sure stories match.

No one called me to check, but my application was processed by him quite quickly.

good to know im not the only one. called up the customer service and gave them his hp number for verification and afterwards he gave me a snapshot of his staff tag. weird thing is during the meetup session i had to fill up the forms again (he claims his boss only gave him a snapshot of my application). most likely no issues but ambank should try to ensure their customer service is aware of this new policy.
