They gave me this email address when they couldn't locate my fax application, and they said email better. so they don't really need originals of the form then...because email means you scan the form and ic and enclose as attachments...which means i can get my supps who are residing outside msia to scan and email in.... but unfortunately i was told cannot... |

QUOTE(limeuu @ Oct 7 2016, 08:13 AM) they are reachable, but outside Malaysia...and someone said above they will not call a foreign phone number... In my case they emailed my sister for verification after they could not get hold of her because her Malaysian number expired. They will eventually approve it... Just have to be persistent. |

QUOTE(lilsunflower @ Sep 29 2016, 03:55 PM) Yes, correct. And its not a stupid question Hi I'm also a bit lost here, as I've never done BT before. I understand the steps @pisang said. But what I don't understand is, how do you have excess amount from your BT transfer? I read one of the forumers saying, i think it was @MGM that said, they will apply for 10k, and settle the cc bill of 1k, and the 9k "excess" can be put into an FD facility.Yepp, I know that they're OK transferring to same bank, but for those where I don't have CASA (e.g. Citi and UOB), very risky. The last resort is of course to cancel card, then they probably have to refund you. I was under the impression you can only BT the amount you owe/due,and once money transferred (from MBB to HongLeong for example), that money will be used to settle the cc bill, therefore no excess. Or is it that you already are going to settle the bill anyways with your own money, but this way you get extra "loan" without any interest? What am I missing here? Sorry for being stupid here |

QUOTE(fruitie @ Oct 7 2016, 03:02 PM) In my sister's case, cannot register OTP. I applied for WMC for her solely for the following reasons:1. Get free luggage bag for supp card application (haven't received yet, but received call last week saying it will be delivered soon). Already promised to give the bag to my maid. 2. Airport lounge access - she travels A LOT but has no income as she's currently on 1 year university programme in Shanghai (hence the expired Malaysian phone number). In the past 3 months alone, she's used the KL, London, Shanghai and HK airports several times. Apart from the qualifying expenditure to get the free luggage bag, she doesn't use the card for anything. Her credit limit only RM2k haha. My usual approach with all CC is....... Just apply and max out benefits while they last |

I read one of the forumers saying, i think it was @MGM that said, they will apply for 10k, and settle the cc bill of 1k, and the 9k "excess" can be put into an FD facility. Let me try to answer your BT questions, which are definitely not "stupid". Sorry for being stupid here 1. For credit cards which do not require supporting statements for BT applications (currently, PBB, MBB via M2u and AMBANK via telephone), the cardholder just has to provide the bank with ANY AMOUNT they wish to transfer, subject to the cardholder having sufficient credit limit. In contrast, AEON's BT programme is more stringent, and requires a statement to prove the outstanding amounts on other cards. 2. For those "non-statement" BTs, you can theoretically BT ANY amount into ANY card, regardless of whether or not there is an outstanding amount. The amount will show up as a credit, and if your bank allows, this credit can be offset against your other principal and supplementary cards (with the same bank) and/or transferred into your current / savings account. 3. I have tried and tested the following several times: - MBB: Excess credit can be offset against other cards and then transferred to Maybank savings account. If credit is below a certain threshold (possibly RM10k, but not confirmed), then no need written request or supporting documentation, just a call to CS will do. - PBB: Excess credit can be offset against other cards (but not necessary to do so) and transferred to PBB savings account. PBB have always asked me to provide a written request (via e-mail) for transfers to savings account. Need to attach supporting documentation such as BT application form AND proof of payment (can be other bank's unbilled transaction listing or screenshot of SMS approval etc etc). - HLB: Excess credit can be offset against other cards and transferred to HLB or other bank saving accounts (no charges incurred). Based on the amounts I transferred (always less than RM10k), just a telephone call will do. The above is based on my experience. Some banks will require more or less documentation. Because this is trial and error, I always keep my "excess" below RM10k. 4. Once the money is in your savings account, it is basically an interest free loan which you can spend or FD. |

QUOTE(limeuu @ Oct 8 2016, 01:02 AM) This was a few months ago. In the first half of the year there were many fantastic acquisition offers for principal and supp cards. For my principal I got RM388 for spending RM1,500. I don't think there's anything going on right now.The best thing is that I get all my info from LYN forum. People here are super up to date and quick to share good deals. |

QUOTE(lilsunflower @ Oct 6 2016, 03:47 PM) App and booklet have almost identical merchant lists (didn't check one by one, but majority of the major names all popped up). However, the mechanics of the app seem complicated to me. It lists down each location for each merchant, and have to click individually. Has anyone tried redeeming anything? Perhaps I'm a bit of a dinosaur and can't keep up with technology lol. Thanks! I just received both app and booklet. They're almost identical. I have redeemed Chattime via App but it's a bit tricky because Chattime staff would need to insert a VIP code too when redeeming it. Somehow they didn't know about this and have to call to HQ to get the VIP code.QUOTE Hardcopy booklet is quite small and easy to read. Just tear voucher and spend with AMB card at any of the branches. Difference is that hardcopy vouchers are limited. I'm not sure if app can use again and again at the same location. From the booklets copy, it looks like going to distribute to WMC/VI card holder only, where VIP code for app will be for every ambank card horlder. Btw, app vouchers are limited too. QUOTE 2 because of supp card? |

So now time for me to apply AmBank credit card! Is the 0% interest for new card holders still valid? Followed the link previous forumer posted (applied for 30k without any charge) and went through many T&C but could not find the one with 0%. On another note, can a supplementary card holder request BT to a credit card that he is a principal at i.e. supplementary at MBB, request BT to HLB where I am a principal (therefore same name). Thanks lilsunflower! |

QUOTE(kambing007 @ Oct 8 2016, 04:44 PM) Super! Understood fully. Appreciate you taking the time to explain at length about the details. I can't find 0% TNC too, so I suggest you call Ambank and confirm before you apply. Check cut off dates and any eligibility criteria. If there's no rush, you may want to wait until Ambank announces some acquisition programmes? Last time it was RM388 for RM1,500 (any spend) plus 0% BT, and also cashback for supplementary cards. So now time for me to apply AmBank credit card! Is the 0% interest for new card holders still valid? Followed the link previous forumer posted (applied for 30k without any charge) and went through many T&C but could not find the one with 0%. Thanks lilsunflower! I think most BT applications can only be done by principal to principal. But you need to read each specific TNC to confirm. I haven't checked and am just guessing based on gut feeling. |
