Guys, how easy is it to get any of the Ambank credit cards? Since all of them are "free".

I am planning to get the True Visa credit card, but the only good thing about it is the 3% cashback for online transactions. Any better recommendations, especially which has good points earning.

It's not difficult. I apply AmBank cards for free PPL only and now for Starbucks promo.

the ambank and rhb merge will have impact on the existence of this card in future?

with unlimited entry, it is obvious some will abuse the privilege by using the cards to "charge" multiply entries to cover friends and travelling companions...so i have always wondered about when they will put some controls...

i think this new rule is sensible...

with one caveat...if one has a transit, there may be a problem....use a lounge before departure, and then want to use again at the transit airport, within the same day, he will be unable to now....unless he has more than one card...

as for charging for more than 3 hrs, when i used the ppl at changi last year for an overnight transit, i used 2 different cards, to claim two 3hrs blocks....didn't ask at that time is i can swipe the same card twice....

I thought one card can only charge once for one entry? Can it charge for multiple times at once to cover for different guests?

Hi, just to check, I have fax my application forms and docs to Ambank last week. Its almost a week now, may i know from all sifu here how long was the processing time for your application previously?
I have checked through the helpline but there is no record in the system yet.

submitted after a week, my record only appeared in system.
this week 2nd week, still processing

if there is no restriction, then it matters not....i have tested and can confirm they will accept using 2 cards from the same bank at the same time to bring in your travelling companion in tgm at changi....since there is not limit nor restriction, technically they can swipe the same card twice at the same time for 2 paxs...

this new rule will now stop that....

i have always maintain that ambank's current practice in allowing unlimited entries is not sustainable...

Ambank have the worst system in Malaysia....submitted by fax for supp card ...after 2 weeks i called they said they didnt receive...then I submitted through email...after 2 weeks not even in the system...called them and they said they need 2 working days to check on the process...Maybank and CIMB is way better in terms of service and processes. When i applied for as the principal was even worse...but that is a whole new story lol

By email. But checked today it shown my application cancelled. Thought if can't go through is rejected/declined? Don't know what's going on, felt like lazy to find out, I might apply next year.

I had to go thru 2 months chasing after a supp card application that was conveniently ignored.

Previously for example, you can use a same card to go Green Market, have a meal then go PPL at Gateway to bath and lastly go PPL in departure hall prior flight.
With the new T&C, you choose only one of the above mention lounge.

My friend's recent visit updated that once you had utilised your access, during your second access to PPL (in the same day), you will be informed that you have no free quota.
The worst is the "one day" is not based on calendar, but 24 hours between your visit to PPL (subject to confirmation & validation)

when was this new t&c implemented? i went during early May and can still use one card to access two lounges in the same day.

i would like to know too..
