Remember the weird look of the spherical speaker design known as Reference 3.1, 3.5 and Strata/TR3? Yes, they were from Anthony Gallo, a familiar name who gained his reputation through unconventionally designed speaker.
Here, I would like to introduce his more traditional-lookin "box-type" speaker known as Classico CL-1. Though conventional, these speaker incorporate However, Gallo has combined cutting-edge tweeter technology with some fine tuning in the internal enclosure design that sets these speakers apart from most "box-types".

Backwave Linearization and Synchronization Technology (BLAST): AGA's newest technology is the implementation of the BLAST System. Benefits of the BLAST system include an improved acoustic impedance match between the woofer/midrange driver and the air within the enclosure, which simply stated, allows the speaker to play louder, deliver exceptional bass, and perform overall like a speaker many times its size. Using our engineering resources, we've been able to achieve this performance advance without requiring more power from the amplifier! The BLAST system incorporates an enhanced version of our S2™ technology that is strategically placed within a modified transmission line.

Enhanced S2 with our Modified Transmission Line: In essence, our patented S2 technology tricks the Classico's precision woofers into performing as though they're in significantly larger enclosures. The combination of the S2 technology and our modified transmission line creates a speaker that sounds much larger than its actual size and delivers real-life impact without ever sounding muddy.

Optimized Pulse Technology™ (OPT) Level 2: Wooden enclosures like the ones incorporated in the Classico Series are not as rigid as the metal enclosures used in our reference Series products. Due to this disparity, the original OPT Level 1 system would not have worked properly. However, we were able to develop OPT Level 2, which applies a dielectric absorption countermeasure to eliminate sonic degradation from static charges that typically build up on speaker wires and within the speaker itself.

The Classico box speaker line has received excellent reviews and it sounds really good, suitable for living room, work space even on your computer desk. You can get it now at a very special price from Curve Acoustics. Available in 2 color: Dark Cherry and Ash Black.

Purchased this pair of CL-01 speakers a couple weeks back. Arrived nicely wrapped and all. Came in 2 boxes. No complains.

I wired it to my humble TA2021 Class-D amplifier, with input from my Hifiman Mp3 player. Straight out the box, female vocals and everything above this range sounded very clear & very detailed. Stereo imaging is also very good, the space between the speakers is fill with sound and vocals came from the center.
However, male vocals were lacking, and everything else below this range barely audible. The drivers were still stiff and literally no bass came out. Manual recommends at least 50 hours break-in, so gotta start grinding the hours ASAP.

Within the first 20 hours there really isn't much change. The bass still wasn't coming out. So mostly I listen to band music, instrumental, and female vocals. The speakers does female vocals exceptionally well. The way I would describe is that it sounds 'sweet'? (very pleasant and very soothing). But male vocals wasn't sounding too manly. Yet.

Around the 30 hour mark, bass started to come out. So I tried some rock, pop, metal, but still sounded quite flat. With 5.25" drivers, I kinda wonder how its gonna push out the lower frequencies. At 40 hours, I played some male vocals and they sounded much better, pop-rock music (Maroon 5) improved somewhat, but the 'kick' still wasn't quite there. Anyhow, now I'm soon reaching the 50 hour mark and bass is still developing, so hopefully its gonna improve some more.

My ears were getting fatigue from listening, so I added a tube buffer-amp to help smooth the sound (kena poison liao). When the tube warms up, after around half-hour, the sound improves a lot. Bass comes out more, and speakers sound more 'alive' (like live performance). But the AC transformer overheats after 1-hour (I tried soaking it in water to play longer, but long-run not a good solution). Still, vocals really stand out for these speakers, and female vocals is its strong suit (and everything else above this range).

Overall, I'm happy with this purchase. My humble system is probably not good enough to benchmark these speakers, but these are very good quality speakers (good sound, good built), and the current price offer is quite a 'steal'. I'm writing this as a 'shout out' for Curve Acoustics, I think its really cool that they bring high-quality audio to locals at affordable prices, and I feel they could use more recognition.

Bro, I am glad you like it.

You need to place the speaker close to a wall to gain heavier bass. Please check out the manual for proper placement.

In the mean time, enjoy your music.
