There is no more Watami card, it was discontinued a few months back.

So aeon card useless liao, i cancelled it.

Now I charge my insurance to my HLB Fortune card.... dont know of any other card that gives me CB on my insurance premium...

Depending on your usage patterns, can consider either the Standard Chartered Gold Mastercard (RM 50 for RM 1500 spend, up to 3.33%) or the Alliance Bank You:nique Cash Back card (RM 50 for RM 3000 spend, up to 1.67%)..

I'm using both of these cards as general purpose cards.. Check out their respective threads for more info..

FOR Standard Chartered Gold Mastercard, insurance n petrol are excluded for CB calculation.
*
true, although there's no cashback for insurance and petrol, you can use up to RM 500 to help hit the RM 1500 min spending, as the cashback is only given for the RM 1000 of other retail spend.

All my insurance are auto debit. If have to pay online manually have to remember each individual transaction on the selected dates. But autodebit no CB. Any ideas on this?

Or can consider Alliance you:nique cash back.. can get between 0.5% to 1.67% cashback, depending on usage..

what about petrol?

There's no longer any one size fits all card..

Personally, I'm using a combination of PBB VS (for groceries, dining, online), UOB One Plat / Citi Cash Back (for petrol), CIMB CR (when my PBB VS & Supp gets maxed out), SC Gold MC (for general) and Alliance you:nique cash back (for insurance + general when SC Gold MC gets maxed out).

Just wondering and thinking... (members who can confirm pls let me know). Let say i buy from lazada using desktop, i will get the 5% discount using certain credit card, then i pay with PBVS, i get additional 6% CB.

If I use the lazada MOBILE APP to pay, i will get 10% discount, but if i proceed with payment with PBVS, i would not get 6% CB right since it is not online? Please enlighten me. Thanks in advance!
*
Lazada app is considered online, so you'll get 6%.

But if you use the 5%/10% discount using certain credit card, you won't be able to use PBVS to pay. You'll need to use those bank's credit card to pay in order to get the 5%/10% discount.

If you're planning to get something within the next few days, use the CHEER75 voucher code. that gives you 10% off up to RM 75, then you can pay using PBVS, which gives you another 6% on the balance.

Shopback also has a link to lazada app to get some additional CB, but personally, I've yet to try that.

Happy shopping!

hi layman, and this is just us asking PB to separate the statements only?

why so weird if combined statement they dont'allow but separate they are ok
*
and please don't call up PB CS to ask them about this.. heightened attention and subsequent action might cause everyone to lose this benefit.. biggrin.gif

Called up pbeonline customer service to clarify and they said the supplementary card holder must have a separate online account if it's a separate statement. I'm thinking this is too troublesome. So, I'm just gonna rely on my monthly e statement bill and pay accordingly and will have to call PBVS customer service before the statement date to settle outstanding statement balance if there is any.

On a separate note , any idea whether the traveling bag free gift promo is still on? I'm waiting to receive mine from my primary card but is there a traveling bag promo for supp?
*
Even if supp card holder don't have pbeonline, can request for e-statement to be delivered via email. Therefore, my supp card e-statement will be delivered to my email, and I just pay according to the statement balance every month.

There are instances when statement balance is out before the email is sent.
*
You actually have 20 days after the statement is out before you need to pay, so will receive the email before the deadline. Worst case is call customer service and ask for statement balance.

Hello all, I'm interested in applying for this card. However I don't bump into any PB credit card booths and their PBeBank website doesn't offer any form of online application. How can I apply for this card? Your help is appreciated.
*
You could also apply via ringgitplus to enjoy their offer.

Anyone here used PBB VS to pay income tax before? Can split into multiple payments to maximize cash back?

Using Public VS, 6% rebate (-0.8% admin fee added by LHDN) subject to max monthly cashback of RM50. No need to split payment.
*
As there's a cap, was thinking if can split payment so can span across different months.. i.e. pay once this month to get RM 50 CB, then another time to get another RM 50 CB next month..

Paying the income tax before due date is more important than to get the PB VS' cashback. If tax overdue, LHDN will increase your tax by 10%-15%.
*
Yeah.. i understand that.. we still have until 30-Apr to fully pay ma.. still got time to maximize CB while avoiding penalties..

I've been paying full every year.. just that this is the first time I'm considering using CB CCs to pay to at least get something back.. times are hard.. lol..

I did it last year by splitting 2 months over a few supplementary cards. This year I'm using my precious 833 quota for the campaign, as income tax is government transaction and does not qualify. So I will use my MBB Amex on weekend instead and just forego the extra cashback.

You must be very careful though. Remember to save each payment receipt and reconcile with the e-ledger on LDHN website which should be updated a few days after payment. If any payment is not captured, call LDHN asap. I had no problems last year, but was very careful and paranoid.

Thanks! Good to know that it's already tried and tested..

Campaign T&Cs

Maximum RM 60 cash back per month.. RM 30 for Entertainment & Departmental Stores, and another RM 30 for Online & Dining.. Sounds not bad, but too many cards to manage already..

anyone know if 1 month spent 3k, the max cb i can get is 50. will the remaining convert to vip point?
*
Depends on the type of transaction. Transactions that get you cash back, will not earn you reward points.. So if all 3k is spent on dining, online or groceries, you'll get 0 points..

Therefore it's better to utilize other cards once you've hit 833 spending (that gets you RM 50 CB).. Because anything after that you get nothing already..

Hi sifu, could u guide me where it shown in PBB website for supplementary card would enjoy another RM50 cash back? Thanks.
*
you won't find this mentioned in the website.. just apply for the supp card, and request for separate statement/credit limit to get additional cash back.. downside is that the supp card holder will need to sign up for their own pbe online account if you want to monitor transactions online..
