Pogba or someone along that ilk next please. Renato Sanchez looks gooding. Too bad we missed out.
Wouldn't mind another young talented winger that knows how to dribble and is not slow. Loan both Depay and Januzaj and see how things go mid/end of the season. Sell off Young. Could get quite a few millions given how rich EPL clubs are now. Once Rooney got his goal record, offer him to the Chinese clubs. They can have Fellaini for free as well. |

QUOTE(sheng @ Jul 7 2016, 01:18 PM) This tancredi palmeri dude seems legit. And if it's true 100 mil pounds seem too excessive .. A bit desperate imho.. I hope mourinho doesnt flop like LVG becoz i think financially we cant afford another year without CL to stay as a big club. Watch us fly this season with Shaw and Martial on the left, Mkhitaryan on the right. I just worry about the backups on the wing. Depay, Young, Mata, Januzaj just don't scare defenders based on their recent form(past year or so). I say bring on Pogba. We have enough players to control the play, but lack someone that can make things happen. Pogba brings that although he can be quiet for most games before sparking to life with a little bit of magic. QUOTE(G_KeN @ Jul 7 2016, 02:34 PM) because we r pretty much fcuked in midfield. i dont think we can even make it to top 4 with carrick/schneiderlin/rooney as our midfielders lol. it is pretty obvious mourinho is targeting a midfield enforcer as the final piece of his '4 main signings', which is why we r linked to matuidi as well. It was our attack that failed us last season. Never really got the wings right since they went shit in SAF's last season. QUOTE(yktan7 @ Jul 7 2016, 02:57 PM) I do like Pogba, and ManUtd can spend 100million to get him, as I guess his commercial value, the returns later will be much greater too. We could spend that much on one player and still be able to afford a couple more lesser priced players if need be. And that's without selling off a couple of deadwoods. However, in term of football, my opinion, is it better to spend the money to buy 3 players, instead of gambling on only 1. We can probably buy Payet, Kante and Matic with this money. As Juventus is only offering 17million for Matic. We might be able to get some spare change somemore. Anyway, by next week, we will be more sure of who we wil get. Why buy a couple of pieces if we just need that one piece to complete the puzzle? Going by Mou's 4 signings quote, it seems he identified the problem areas. CB, CM, RW, ST. Got 3 already. Just the one CM left. DDG Darmian/Valencia-Smalling-Bailly-Shaw CM-Pogba(if we get him) Mkhi-Rooney-Martial Zlatan Question mark over RB and Rooney's spot, but it seems that's how we'll lined up for the first few months at least. Drop Rooney for another CM if the going gets tough. Carrick, Schweinsteiger, Schneiderlin, Herrera, Blind for the one CM position. Plenty enough options there. |

QUOTE(bansai @ Jul 20 2016, 03:51 PM) simply throw money, even i also know how to buy a player that way. If the player really wants to move, then just send in a transfer request. Mou wants him. That's all that matters. Play for united for 3 seasons then move to madrid during his prime, same old same old.. I'd rather get modric, kroos, fabregas, mahrez, koke, lucas, thiago. The price is crazy. 60m pounds or thereabout would probably be fair, but we are seeing 30-40m bids for the likes of Deeney/Iglaho/Benteke get rejected this window. It's crazy money but that's how it is. I doubt Real Madrid would sell anyone that they would like to keep. We bought Di Maria for 60+m pounds a player they wanted out. And the price have gone higher since then. Same goes if we knock on A.Madrid's door for one of Saul/Koke unless we offer them crazy money. Bale went for 80+m. And people argued he's not worth that much. We lost out to Real on Bale, and just like Hazard before(Chelsea), set us back years for the wing position. You see that special someone that is gettable, move heaven and earth for them. See Martial, CR(most expensive teenager that time?), Keane British record etc. It may or may not work. But better get someone talented then a few Bellions/Djemba2. If he works out and want out in 4-5 years time, we will recoup most of the fee back if not more. |

QUOTE(onepack @ Jul 21 2016, 02:13 PM) if mou want both messi & ronaldo should united just went for it at all cost? its mou 1st season dont think we should spend so much yet for single player. we already short of adidas CL money and money from CL itself Realistic targets. cant we just walk away if 80-90mil(much already) rejected. he simply dont worth as much and we are not desperate for him. it is crazy theres is news now pep want kross.. let see how tht goes. RM might reluctant to sell but if player/agent want out there is chances.. tht how thing goes these day bale might not worth 80+ back then but dont think its too much off the mark like pogba case(if it is 100+mil) pogba is good player and still young can see him be a great signing for united for years to come.. but doubt we can recoup back the fee we pay him unless pogba start scoring 30 goals a season He signed Zlatan on a free, Mkhitaryan with only a year left on his contract and got Bailly for the CB position. Could have gone crazy and ask for the likes of Bonucci/Hazard/Lewa that would cost more but he went for them instead. And we were very much interested in that Renato kid. Who knows whether he was our first option for the CM position or whether he was just a talent that we can't pass up upon. My money is on the latter. It was rumoured that he was going to be our manager around Dec-Jan, and Moratti's sister spoke about him going to Manchester back in Feb. So he has plenty of time to analyse the squad. Identified 4 spots and already gotten 3. And according to him have 2 more options for the CM spot if we fail to get Pogba. As for the financial part we just have to trust the people that run the business side of the club. They've been fantastic. I trust their judgement regarding what we can and can't afford. QUOTE(O-haiyo @ Jul 21 2016, 06:30 PM) Maybe pogba will have a good season with us but it still doest not justify the 100Mil tag. Bale is a goal scorer, pogba is not. I rather have bale than pogba if we were to spend that 100Mil on 1 player. SAF bought many expensive players. Keane cost quite a lot back then. Stam and then Rio were the most expensive defenders in their time..British record for any player wrt to Rio I think for a while. Buffon went for 53m eur back in 2001. Just imagine what he would cost in todays market. Heck Newcastle are about to get 60m gbp for 2 of their players. They got relegated last season. If JM is really a good manager, then 100Mil on a player is not necessary. |

Hopefully as the seasons goes on, Mou will do to Rooney what he did to Cassilas. Just bench him.

Pogba, only 23 years old. Feck me.
Exciting times ahead. Hope to see Pogba, Mkhitaryan, Martial, Zlatan and Rashford in the same lineup at least once. Kamon Mou, do it. |
