Watch us fly this season with Shaw and Martial on the left, Mkhitaryan on the right. I just worry about the backups on the wing. Depay, Young, Mata, Januzaj just don't scare defenders based on their recent form(past year or so).

I say bring on Pogba. We have enough players to control the play, but lack someone that can make things happen. Pogba brings that although he can be quiet for most games before sparking to life with a little bit of magic.

It was our attack that failed us last season. Never really got the wings right since they went shit in SAF's last season.

We could spend that much on one player and still be able to afford a couple more lesser priced players if need be. And that's without selling off a couple of deadwoods.

Why buy a couple of pieces if we just need that one piece to complete the puzzle? Going by Mou's 4 signings quote, it seems he identified the problem areas. CB, CM, RW, ST. Got 3 already. Just the one CM left.

Question mark over RB and Rooney's spot, but it seems that's how we'll lined up for the first few months at least. Drop Rooney for another CM if the going gets tough.

Carrick, Schweinsteiger, Schneiderlin, Herrera, Blind for the one CM position. Plenty enough options there.

The price is crazy. 60m pounds or thereabout would probably be fair, but we are seeing 30-40m bids for the likes of Deeney/Iglaho/Benteke get rejected this window. It's crazy money but that's how it is.

I doubt Real Madrid would sell anyone that they would like to keep. We bought Di Maria for 60+m pounds a player they wanted out. And the price have gone higher since then. Same goes if we knock on A.Madrid's door for one of Saul/Koke unless we offer them crazy money.

Bale went for 80+m. And people argued he's not worth that much. We lost out to Real on Bale, and just like Hazard before(Chelsea), set us back years for the wing position. You see that special someone that is gettable, move heaven and earth for them. See Martial, CR(most expensive teenager that time?), Keane British record etc.

It may or may not work. But better get someone talented then a few Bellions/Djemba2. If he works out and want out in 4-5 years time, we will recoup most of the fee back if not more.

Realistic targets.

He signed Zlatan on a free, Mkhitaryan with only a year left on his contract and got Bailly for the CB position. Could have gone crazy and ask for the likes of Bonucci/Hazard/Lewa that would cost more but he went for them instead. And we were very much interested in that Renato kid. Who knows whether he was our first option for the CM position or whether he was just a talent that we can't pass up upon. My money is on the latter.

It was rumoured that he was going to be our manager around Dec-Jan, and Moratti's sister spoke about him going to Manchester back in Feb. So he has plenty of time to analyse the squad. Identified 4 spots and already gotten 3. And according to him have 2 more options for the CM spot if we fail to get Pogba.

As for the financial part we just have to trust the people that run the business side of the club. They've been fantastic. I trust their judgement regarding what we can and can't afford.


SAF bought many expensive players. Keane cost quite a lot back then. Stam and then Rio were the most expensive defenders in their time..British record for any player wrt to Rio I think for a while. Buffon went for 53m eur back in 2001. Just imagine what he would cost in todays market. Heck Newcastle are about to get 60m gbp for 2 of their players. They got relegated last season.

He said the same about Ibra. He must be loving the attention. Just be prepared in 4-5 years time when Pogba remembers his 'dream'.

Hopefully as the seasons goes on, Mou will do to Rooney what he did to Cassilas. Just bench him.
