Anyone here managed to watch Netflix UHD 4K contents on your 4K TVs using a UNIFI broadband line?

I am using UNIFI 30mbps and a LG 4K TV, netflix 4K contents failed to load always and i did an internal speed test in netflix app and it show speed of 4.85mbps only (direct Rj45 cable connection). But on the TV browser, speedtest shows about 20mbps.

Anyone here using UNIFI and watching netflix UHD contents?

I lodged a case to Netflix and it asks me to check with UNIFI if they are throttling their speed to netflix servers, still awaiting response.

I watch Netflix using Unifi 50 Mbps...no issue at all..

I suggest to connect your Smart TV to your router using wired ETH cable before you try to report anything. Anyway, TM Unifi router is not the best...try to get a MIMO WIFI router if you insist on connecting over WIFI.

I am connecting TV to my Asus RT-AC66 router using direct cable.
I can watch netflix HD contents, but UHD 4K contents will not load.

Can you watch netflix UHD 4K contents on your 4K UHD TV?
If yes, may i know which brand and model is your 4K TV? Can you do an internal speed test in your netflix app of your TV and tell me the speed?

Thanks

49x8300C Sony Android TV (First Jun 2015 batch production)

My internal speed test is always able to achieve 50 Mbps...but my area doesn't have many Unifi users. Most are Streamyx users.

Internal speed test in TV Netflix App, not from your browser right?

Can screen cap show me? Thanks.

Which UHD contents have you tried?

I tested using my mobile internet connected to my TV and speed is way above the 4.xxmbps am getting from UNiFI.
Is UNIFI throttling netflix to below 5mbps?

No prob bro. Please test when you are free and make sure you are actually watching UHD 4k contents in Netflix, not just any HD contents.
Thanks.

I don't know whether the internal Netflix network check is reliable or not but it returns speed < 25 Mbps. I perform another speedchecks with Speedtest.net: (1) speedcheck to a local Malaysia server (2) speedcheck to San Jose, CA server where Netflix HQ operates nearby (Log Gatos, CA)

Both results are true to my subscribed TM Unifi 50 Mbps speed:

Despite that, Marcella UHD 4K is smooth as butter, in its pristine UHD 4K glory. See the link below (sorry, my phone is not 4K and not good in low light condition):

Damage : Netflix UHD - RM10/ mth ( lookout provider LYN)
Symphonet 11Mbs - RM 103/mth with GST
Samsung UHD 4K Smart TV 48" - rm2.8k at Senheng

I am having similar problems as you.

Although I don't have a smart TV, I use my browser and Netflix app in Windows 10 to test the speed.
All reporting horrendous speed, 1Mbps only, it's difficult to get full HD some more!

I am using Advance 30, not sure whether this is a Netflix issue or Unifi issue.
Youtube no issue though, even tried 4k 60fps video.

5 seconds that's all it takes for me to load & streaming Netflix 4K, and one more thing I'm watching US Netflix using Getflix VPN, it has once in 4-5 months some proxy issues and I can live with it. I think if I don't use the vpn, the 4K video will load a bit faster.

I don't use any fancy router, just the stock DLINK-WBR2300 from TM, and my 4K TV not even using RJ45 cable, I connect it wirelessly because of the distance.

Hope this helps
