Does anyone know why my postpaid sim card not working? It's almost been 1 week since I redeemed my yes 4g lte sim card, went back to the yes store 3 times already still not yet resolved, i've already contacted yes and got a case number though. My last visit to the yes store was today and they told me to send the screenshot about the emergency call only to yescare. My yes 4g lte prepaid sim card is working fine.

Hi, do you mean you are able to make calls using your YES Prepaid sim ? as long as it is remain active with signal? If using non-VoLTE phone, do you need to set your phone Mobile Network to "LTE ONLY" only the signal will see 1 or 2 bar like that?

Still able to activate yet? Until today, unable to activate. Tried first on wife's Samsung J7 and now it's in my Redmi Note 3. I'm currently running 2 sims. I deactivated my main Maxis sim and run only YES 4G. No service detected.

Really piss poor network. Disappointing.

U tried to choose mobile network set as "LTE ONLY"?

just bought new J1 2016, everything fine. look like we need to have correct phone. i think we need to have phone with B38 (2300mhz) to detect Yes TDD LTE. no issues like slow detecting, card inactive when put in J1-6.
buying J1-6 come with free yes prepaid sim, it give you 15GB/month for 2 months. im using it now...

Hi WanR, can you make crystal clear HD voice to other telco number using your Prepaid SIM? I bought prepaid SIM but wondering if prepaid can make call to other telco with really 9sen/min as claimed by YTL YES. How does the voice quality? Can you share to us?

Hello, anyone knows what are the phone cover/casing/bumper case suitable for Yes Altitude phone? I am having trouble to buy screen protection/temper glass too. Thanks if anyone can suggest me a model for it. Appreciate that.

Tried using the SIM on my wife's Samsung J7 ... which is also on the list of supported phone. Unable to operate the Yes 4G lte sim. Error returned when making call with the sim "Not registered on network". Tried many things, swapping to SIM slot 1, switched to LTE network, manually set APN (followed the settings on my Redmi Note 3 which worked). Suggest if anyone trying to sign up, to get it set up on phone first BEFORE you accept it.

Have you activated your sim at http://selfcare.yes.my ?

don't think they will be out so soon right? Even their mobile line is only restricted to invitation now. n no news on their broadband plan also

Don't think webe will be as good as Yes. P1 always try to play around with customers. Always play pattern before launch. After pattern ended, bundle of issues awaiting resolved while money already gone their side.

Any smartphone running on TDD-LTE (Time Division Duplex) at 2300MHz (Band 40) and 2600MHz (Band 38) will work with YES 4G LTE.

Whether it will support VoLTE (Voice over LTE) remains to be seen if it not designated as a supported device.

Refer to:
http://yes.my/supported-devices

Even Sony Xperia Z5 series that has both FDD and TDD bands also cannot make calls. Only Data. Weird telco.

Device configuration
Step 1: Connect your Yes Device to your PC via USB or WiFi.
Step 2: Open your web browser and browse to http://192.168.1.1/.
Step 3: Login with your Yes ID and password.
Step 4: Follow the instructions to configure your Yes Device.

Make sure you have activated your sim via Yes website 1st. If still cannot, try set your yes sim card slot to "LTE" only and also set the setting inside >Mobile Network>Access Point Names> Edit Access Point Yes Internet to set the "Bearer" to "LTE" instead of "Unspecified" and save it and then try again.

Hey guys, just want to relate my experiences with Yes4G and also their customer care line YesCare,

If you ever encounter a situation whereby you accidentally purchased a "Add On" via their website and wanting to get reversal charges, they will not do it for you. I learned it the hard way cause I was rather excited to add data for my new 4G LTE subscription  tongue.gif  tongue.gif

Therefore, always check what you purchase carefully before pressing the "Submit" Button!  tongue.gif  tongue.gif
What happened last week Saturday was the following:

WARNING: Long Post Ahead!
************************
1. I wanted to purchase a "LTE Data Add On 68" for my new 4G LTE Prepaid SIM. You can get 10GIGs of Data Quota that will last you over 30 days.

2. So I try purchasing it via the Yes website (it costs RM72.10). I accidentally pressed the "BB Data Add On 68" selection instead and when I review back again on my Yes Self Care Portal, it reflected that instead of "LTE Data Add On 68".

3. I went to the nearest Yes Kiosk near my working place to get cancellation, and the staff told me that they are unable to do anything cause it is all automated. Never mind, I manually purchased "LTE Data Add On 68" from the Kiosk cause I needed the data quota. That comes up to RM72.10

4. I even tried calling my credit card company, but they cannot cancel the transaction from the bank. What they can provide me is the Approval Code for the convenience of the merchant (which is YTL-COMM) to do the cancellation of the transaction from their side.

5. Called YesCare Hot Line to escalate my case, the Customer Advocate guy handling my query, a Mr. Azman (top customer service and good voice tone!) referred my case to their Credit Control Division so that they can either do a cancellation OR they can add that 'accidentally' purchased Add On Data to my LTE Data Add On. He told me to wait for the next 3 business days before they come back to me.
6. By the coming Tuesday, I received an email from YesCare, not from Mr. Azman, but from another Customer Advocate, whom I believe is not familiar with my case. The reply was:

"With reference to your inquiry,We regret to informed you that we are unable to fulfill your requirement to reversal back the correct add on into your account. Sincerely, Kogilavani Customer Advocate"
7. That got my blood boiling, but I still maintain my calm demeanor, and wrote back:

"I understand that reversal of the charges is not possible since the payment has already been made for the 4G Broadband Data Add On, then I called again today and spoke to another Customer Advocate, Shafique, who told me that a reversal is not possible.

I have no Broadband Device in order to use the accidentally purchased Broadband Data Add On. Which means that the 'accidental' purchase that I have made will go to waste, and I am not able to use the data at all!

So my question is: Am I able to convert the BB Data Add On to a LTE Data Add On? Since reversal or a cancellation is not possible, I might as well make the best of what I have 'accidentally' paid for.

It will do your future customers a good service when there is flexibility."

8. Next day, a similar reply came:

"With reference to your inquiry, please be advise that we unable to accommodate your request as we unable to reverse or convert the BB Add - On to LTE Add - On. Sincerely, Maithilly Customer Advocate"
9. This time, I went further ahead with my reply:

"Actually you can change it, it is only because you choose not to do it, either by your management SOP which is very very inflexible.

Why punish your customers over a simple mistake? You cannot reverse the charges, okay. I can accept, but I AM NOT ABLE to use the BB Add On Data at all!

So tell me, how am I able to use the data? I just want to know what is your answer on this. "

10. Next day, this reply came:

"With reference to your inquiry, we believe that you had spoken and been advised accordingly by our customer advocate.

Please be informed that your issue has been channeled to the relevant department for further assistance.

Allow us to check with the relevant department and we will revert back to the soonest once we get on the updates. Sincerely, Moganah Customer Advocate"

11. Next day, finally I got this reply:

"Dear Sir, We have successfully transfer the mistakenly purchased Data Add On BB 68 into Data Add On LTE 68 for you, Kindly verify on this? Thank You." *screen shot as per below when I verified*
12. The lesson learned besides not being too over enthusiastic until you purchased something wrongly, is to be persistent but with a very good reason when you are pursuing damage control via a seemingly welcoming customer service bound by inflexible protocols.  smile.gif  smile.gif  smile.gif  icon_idea.gif  icon_idea.gif  icon_idea.gif

That BB plan is purchase on top of purchase their modem dongle something. That's why don't be fooled by their so called Double Double advertisement that is fake to customer perspective. I am having same but indirectly case where initially thought the phone is supported device after bought the sim plugged in realised can't make any calls where dealer didn't tell me device not supported. So, end up buying the Altitude phone in order to make calls. Can't even port out to other telco as Yes not support MNP!

The prepaid YES will reset all your balance to zero when it has totally expired. I am talking expired not termination! Geram....how can yes do business like this? This is really not fair to prepaid customer. Anyone experience this ?

Read the 1st email.

No sound coming out from YES Altitude phone.
What they reply is, "there is nothing wrong with my Yes account"

Deyyyy!!! what does yes account got to do with the phone? I seriously cannot brain this.....

Are you prepaid user? If your sim expired 1-2 weeks like that they will inactive your line. You totally won't have signal at all. This is very bad. They won't allow you to call to their customer service either. Very bad telco.

Just bought Yes 4G LTE 30GB plan at RM20.

Speedtest at my area: 13+ mbps with 2 or 3 bars inside building tethering from my cheap Alcatel Pixi 4(5).

Not bad.

Total 31GB for RM20.
