last time my viva also aircond kaput. sent to workshop, first change the gas. then ok for a day. air become hot again. went to the same workshop and complain. then he said compressor need to be changed. went and tell my dad about this. he said he'll take the car to perodua sc. so he did. the sc said that the aircond spoiled dy. something like the bracket that was holding the air cond was already loose and need to change. can't quite remember about it. cost my dad rm1000 something to repair everything. usual labour service from perodua sc is about rm100-150 so you do the math la how much it cost actually.

well is truth , as least prepare 1k as it cover all service such as cleaning all hose pipe, cooling coil, condenser, replace filter .... when deal with faulty compressor

Never go to Perodua. Cut throat prices. They will intentionally break ur aircond. Speaking from experience.

When air cond is not working estimated cost of part & labour as follows

Condenser fan : RM 150 + labour (just change the motor)
Condenser : RM 250 - 400 + labour
Compressor : RM 750 - 1100 + labour (whole unit)
Compressor Magnetic Coil : RM 100-200 + labour
Expansion Valve : RM 60-120 + labour
Evaporator/Cooling coil : RM 150-300 + labour (very expensive labour if need to dismantle dashboard)
Drier : RM 80-200 + labour


Leaking & Checking : labour time & costs (soldering less than RM 5)
Open dashboard alone labour cost is RM 300 - 700 [applicable to evaporator coil & some Expansion Valve]


Standard gas = RM 50-80 per refill (cost RM 10-20)
