Good effort by TS. rclxms.gif thumbup.gif

For all newbie in this section, you've to be reminded that you should only do this when ur warranty expires, otherwise, some service centre like to blame you for changing the RAM on ur own. This way, they'll be able to charge you for the RMA.

Hmm, i dun think so that anyone charge for installing ram.. Normally, if u bought from that shop, they will install it for u. Futhermore, it's safer as u can test the memory on the spot

Just for info, most of the notebooks in the market now are designed for easy upgrade. It wont void the warranty. For eg. BenQ, Sony, HP, etc has no warranty sticker on its RAM compartment. As for Acer, I had double and triple checked with Acer, warranty is part by part. So, even tough you tempered the sticker for RAM compartment, it wont void the warranty for whole unit. Only RAM affected. Since you're changing the RAM, new RAM warranty would be covered by me if you buy it from me. smile.gif I'v sold few units NEW Acer this week, all with RAMs upgraded upon purchase.

Well, hard to say... sweat.gif If they think u knows nothing, they will tell you how complicated it is and bla bla bla.... If u'v read this thread, at least, show them you know somethg.

As for compatibility, dun worry, I do offer money back guarantee if not working. smile.gif

hmmm... can we just remove the warranty stickers nicely ... after add/change the sodimm... replace those stickers nicely... rclxms.gif

anybody know how? (they said .. there r some kind of substance can be used.. so apply it to the sticker.. then for a few second.. the adhesive will melt a bit so.. its will easyly peel-off.. when the substance dry .. the adhesive will get sticky as before...)

anyone got this kinda experience?? drool.gif

I always DIY when installing new rams..
but sometimes, it's quite tough to lock the ram after we put it in their place esp. when we have 3 or 4 rams to be slotted in. Just afraid the Mobo will break...

Hmm... I nvr seen this kind of chemical before. So far installed many rams for ppl, but nvr used. However, just for info, the warranty sticker at ram compartment would void the old ram warranty only, not the entire unit, dun worry. smile.gif
