Greetings fellow gamers.

As most of you know there has been a talk bout having LYN very 1st LAN PARTY.
We have managed to secure a spot for this event. It will be held in Autumn Breeze Internet Cafe at Taman Chiliung, Klang. The owner of the place Mr Andy which is also a forumer here has agreed to sponsor the Venue with all the bells n whistles at NO cost at all. The dates that we are looking at is in FEB before Valentines day, so it should be on the 10th n 11th FEB. Its kinda soon, but doing it after CNY is not possible as it will be the CC's peak period as everyone gets their "Ang Pow" then. Among the facilities n equipment that will be provided are -

30 units of 19" LG Widescreen LCD displays
30 units of table with chairs
A couple of sofa
2 units of 42" Plasma display, LG also iinm
Sufficient power points + LAN points

Basically his cafe is 3 shop lots, and we are gonna have the event in the 1 of the lots. All 3 lots are connected. As for security, we have to be our own guard n police man for that manner, but we will try to block the access to public at certain times.

We will most probably have the event on a Saturday morning n will last till Sunday Noon. As the place is open 24/7 we can camp there over nite and game on. There is also a hotel nearby for those who needs the rest.

What are we gonna do for 24hrs of game time..??? Well of course we will have tourneys like LP, GOW, COD3, GRAW, PGR3, NFS:Carbon, FIFA 07 n yes HALO 2 .. n etc.. As games for the tourney game list its not confirmed yet, we see what games most of us have n that will be the choice.
Besides tourney, we will have free sessions where you guys can play what ever you want with whoever u want. And lastly we will open the event floor to the public at certain times of the tourney to let them go "gaga" on the full power of the X360 n hopefully make an impact to draw more PC Gamers to the X360 scene.

Those plasma screen will he again the glass display to showcase the event to the public. This stretch of road is popular during the evening n late evenings coz of the mamak stall nearby.

I have not much experience on this event organising n would really hope you guys with ideas n comments be it constructive or otherwise, to contribute your 2cents.
Together we can make this happen with huge success.

And lastly, we really hope that those who are financially able, to contribute on the events as prize sponsor.

Here is the middle lot that the event is gonna be held at




As you can see the right lot has 4 panes of glass doors, n the upmost front is the entry to the right side of the cyber cafe.
As for the left lot, the entry point is thru the back of the unit below the stairs. [at where the yellow shirt guy is standing (pic 2) n also after the oval shape table (pic 1)]

Who wants to go down to the place with me in this coming days to visually make the event perimeter.

Guys, hope you all had a good CNY, feeding ur face n collecting angpow's. Since most of you guys are back now.. I just wanna know how shall we approach this event..??

Klubba, did managed to contact me sometime b4 CNY, and we talk bout the what the event would be like if had it in a BIG scale event (in a shopping mall, showing the x360 to the real public, be confined to the sponsors liking [to some degree] but we get to pass the message across that we are serious in the x360 to MS) or we can do it small scale (in the cafe, get to play what we want to play, when we want to play, not much public awareness)

Since this a a gaming community, no one person shall decide what we are going for. We shall come to a collective understanding on what we all want to see in this, and what hope to see in the future.

Let us know what you x360'ers think bout our gaming community and how the event should developed into.

Did u go to the corner lot 1..? That is Winter Nights, under the same managment also.
This Autumn Breeze is new, n just renovated like few mths back. Previously it was named Summer Dream.

Ya can bring what ever games u want to play.. but for the tourney, we'll stick to what games most of us have.

The location is already sponsored n yet you guys are complaining for the fare to get there.

Guys I really need your support on this if we are gonna make this happen.

I'm gonna create a new thread to get the list of participants (pls dont FFK) as we only have spots for 30 people. In this thread also I want those who list their name select on what games they have. If they have all the games in that particular category, then please select which game u are more pro at. Also try not to join all the tourney events that are listed, as we need your help in "jaga'ing" n keeping track of the tourney that are going on. We have 7 tourney's, so try to restrain yourself to 4 or less.

Also I need someone that is good at art to create a banner or poster. For starters we need to create a sig, to spread the event news forum wide.

And lastly sponsors.

Meet up at GH this Sunday, will try to make it, coz im working on that day. We really need to get things going guys. Matty, go ahead with the design portion n give us a look see soon. Zio the reason I'm getting the list of attendance n game choice, coz we need to sort who will be playing or in interested in what games, n then the ones that are not playing will be the so called Marshall to take down scores n see that we adults dont cheat.
I need someone to work on sponsors n get intouch with the Blake dude, see if GameAxis in interested to partly sponsor or cover this event.

Yep.. String althou its a noble cause you donating it.. but its better if we stick to the x360 scenario...

As we all know there are alot of stuffs to do.. so we are actually considering to postpone this fiesta to a later date.. sometime late march or early apr.
I'll inform you guys on when I'm gonna go for the survey at Autumn Breeze.

^ thats really kind of you bro string to give up a wii or ps3 as part of the prize. Since we cant get a x360 from you (just kidding) anything that you give will be of a great help. As long as ur sincere in helping. Since this is a big prize.. we are hoping to give it out as a lucky draw for all the fiesta attendees. What da ya think..?
