Try using your HDD in another computer to be sure.
If no issues with access, the problem is with your mobo.

There's your answer, sata port on board is faulty. Never use it again with any HDD, put a tape to close it off.
Your data is important, don't put it at risk when you know what's not working ...

That's 3 HDDs of 8TB each (by what is available in Malaysia, and to have the lowest number of discs).
Cost of those 3 externals would be ~1399 x 3 = ~RM4200. Good luck with your data retention plan rclxub.gif

Cheapest option right now to deal with your problem "sudden black out" - which also damages disks -
is you go get a UPS, between RM200 - RM500 - they work, and can keep a desktop going even during intensive gaming and suddenly mains power goes out.
That's a quick fix for you ...

there are many good suggestions here

mine is also good which is to download HD Sentinel or HD Regenerator

both are HDD diagnostics programs that will tell you how your HDD is doing

Try 800VA, that is a step up from the standard which is 500 - 650VA.
Note: The UPS is only for protecting your machine long enough to shut down, when the mains power is down.
It is NOT for playing games or any high-end use. Don't leave the house, then rely on the UPS to keep your PC running - it won't last that long, maybe 15 - 30 mins. max.
