Been sticking to this thread quite awhile edi. Wow, U guys really good at calculating interest.

Guys, can teach me how? Say i got 2000 on my statement balance,

Whats my min payment amount? (X amount).

Lets say i only pay min payment (x amount) and i dont swipe it and there's no post transactions until next statement (28th).

What would be my new statement balance?

Thanks in advance.

Oh yea, im using CR card too.

Interest is charged on the full statement balance even though you paid the min. payment.

(RM2,000 x 15%) / 365 = RM0.82 x 30 days = RM24.60

The next statement will be 2000 + interest 24.60 - 100 = RM1924.60

The same thing applies every month until you paid the full statement balance.

Thanks rapple and imnotbot.

Q1: By the way, the 30 days there represent what?

Example, Say statement out on 28th. I got grace period of 20 days to pay the min payment but i pay early a bit, on 10th. So i need to times it with the remaining days before next 28th yes? So for this case, need to times with 18 correct? Pls advice.

Q2: say i pay more than the min asked(5%), i pay 500. Above calulation/math still apply?

Trying to build Ms Excel for for my reference.

it's pretty straightforward. SI to get 2%. else, just 0.2% as retail transaction.
