I was thinking the same thing, then I went to read the CIMB CR T&C and FAQ and doesn't look like there's any limitation on Supp Cards!

I think when I first applied, I saw Item 7 of the FAQ and automatically (incorrectly) assumed that we can only apply for 2.

Now looks like we can apply for more!!! Woohoo. rclxms.gif

laugh.gif OK, I will only apply additional if YOLO doesn't work. Else, it will be sufficient with just 2 supp + 1 principal. biggrin.gif

I'm filling up 2 more forms as I type this hahaha.

My AEON BT instalments each month are 6k, so I need A LOT of online cashback cards to help with this. Every little bit counts. Now have to find some willing family members to help me. rolleyes.gif

I don't have super huge spending every month and I'm trying to reduce it. One of the ways is to cut down my cards, so if banks reduce benefits, it could be a good thing for me. laugh.gif

Anyway, I will apply another one supp to make it 2+1. Already got confirmation from my dad. I assume no age limit for supplementary right? He is 68 now.

Alright. Cool because my dad was rejected by SCB when I applied supp for him, mum's application was approved that time.

Guys, one quick question, would there be any issues if I have negative charges in my CC account ? Negative charges as in I pay extra or in advance to my CC. I'm curious.

Well, many also said no problem earlier and paid for many months then one fine day got slapped with financial charges. smile.gif Well, up to you to listen or not, it's your choice. However, we will never suggest others to pay after deduction. CIMB is one of the banks which doesn't recognize cash back as a payment.
Anyway, geram aku. Posted on 29th. cry.gif There goes my quota, overshot by RM 300 for new cycle when I already used up all for PosOnline and last month's quota didn't maximize...

Posonline by CIMB normally is 2 days.. So, I don't do last min transaction if I want to hit for current month.. Lesson learned..

I have tried to pay only the outstanding balance (after cashback) for CIMB credit card, so far no problem. Statement date is on 28th, cashback will only come in on 29th

QUOTE(muscaa @ Sep 30 2016, 01:18 PM)
so far no problem with the payment of outstanding balance only after cash back. Obviously the bank would love you paying in full
*
you will have no issue if you don't spend anything the following statement date - then you pay outstanding balance.

issue will arise if you spend on the following statement date.

Well, I don't deny too some got through from CIMB, not sure how they determine. Anyway, some only got charged after some time. For me, I will not take the risk and will not suggest others to do it. sweat.gif

Wow, CIMB is being absolutely ridiculous. I was slapped a finance charges of RM6.43 on my latest statement.

Statement Balance on 28 Aug: RM 522.58
Cash Rebate on 29 Aug: RM 26.13
Payment on 15 Sep (Payment due is 17 Sep): RM 496.45
Finance Charges on 28 Sep: RM6.43

Does anyone know how they calculate the finance charges? Charging RM6.43 for a short of RM26.13 is like imposing a finance charges of 24.6% per month. WTH? I tried to call their call center to ask about how they derived RM6.43 and they put me on hold for 30 minutes as they told me it's too complicated to calculate and will need more time vmad.gif
They promised to call me back within 2 hours and i am still waiting! ranting.gif
