Anyone drives faster than 80kph with Michelin PS4 during heavy downpour at highways?

It’s raining quite a bit recently and I drove at about 80kph on my PS4 205/55ZR16. Felt that 80kph is the limit that I’m comfortable with, but seeing BMWs breeze by with 100+kph without breaking a sweat makes me sweat.

Is it my alignment if off or am I missing something or they just don’t feel anything hmm.gif
*
Well, I'm still with my PS3. Even during rain I drive about 110 kph on the highway. I try not to go over the speed limit during rain.

So far no problems, even going through puddles on the road I never slow down.

That what I love of Michelin's Pilot Sports tyres.

To be more specified, can a compact 125/80 r 17 wheel tyre compatible to 245/40 r18?
*
Forgive my ignorance, shouldn't the compact wheel size be 125/50R17? At least it would have the same diameter as the other tyres

Is there such a size, I honestly don't know

Hello boys want to change my City V 18 stock tyres soon
Looking for something quiet/comfort (but more on quiet) around RM200-ish per tyre, any thoughts?

I've heard of:
Michelin XM2+
Goodyear Assurance TripleMax 2
Hankook V12 Evo 2
Continental CC6
Yokohama BluEarth ES32
Toyo NanoEnergy3.

Also wanted thoughts on upsizing from 185/55/R16 to maybe 195/50/R16 or 195/55/16.

Thank you
*
Is your car still under warranty? If yes, better to stick with stock tyre size. Get better tyres. My recommendation would be XM2+ or GY Assurance Triplemax 2.

Hankook V12 Evo2 already discontinued. CC6 is just bad.

Not familiar with the other 2

PS4 is UHP..
If u need quiet and comfortable, look for touring tyre instead. Probably Michelin Primacy 4
*
I don't think Primacy 4 comes with a 40 profile tyre. Smallest is 45.

For UHP category, actually Michelin PS4 is considered the most comfortable already

is there a site to compare the tire prices (market price.. etc)

how often do you guys recommend to change tires
*
Usually I survey in Lazada, Shopee, Mudah.

For tire change intervals, really depends. I always check the tyre wear indicator on the sidewall of the tyre.

If reach that, tukar.

Think ps3 no more in the market for 215/45r17. better to take re004 over TR1 or Lassa?

Falken that particular model is rare and shop in kl quoted price similar or slightly higher than ps4 (kota kemuning price)
*
The prices in Shah Alam area is cheaper. At least rm100 cheaper than PS4 per piece for my tyre size.

Anyone with landsail ls588? Ok or really worst tyre? Office mate less budget hence need to replace his 18" tyre. If it me either PS3 for budget or ps4.
*
Maxxis Victra I-Pro also available up to 18 inch sizes.

Should be the best bang for buck tyres right now.

Some users reviewed that this tyre grip is as good as PS3.

Only downside is fast wear rate. Threadwear rating only 240.

Anybody tried UHP tyre from Maxxis before? Maxxis Victra Sport 5?

Saw online the price for 245/40R19 is only RM544 per piece.

Currently using Falken Azenis FK510 & am quite happy with it.

Current value for money tyres in my wishlist for future reference:
1. Falken Azenis FK510
2. Hankook Ventus S1 Evo3

For 195/50 R15, between XM2+ or PS3 (since PS4 don't have 15) which one to go? CC6 no good now?

Current tire Kruizer at 20k usage, usage okey for me but want more quiet.
*
The best choice for me would PS3 if you prefer good traction & handling.

A good alternative would be Maxxis Victra I-Pro. They are available in your tyre size.

The grip levels are similar to PS3, it is less noisy but the wear rate was claimed to be faster.

Most important is the price is about rm150 per piece (some place can get cheaper). PS3 price is about rm230 per piece.

I'm using this tyre on my Persona right now. 195/55R15 size. Very impressed indeed.

Hi, want to find a brand new tyre for my civic 215/55R16

Type available for 215/55R16
Michelin Pilot Sport
Michelin Primacy 5
Bridgestone Turanza T005A
Dunlop Maxx050+
Dunlop DZ102
Continental UC6 (Cheapest compared to above)

Sifu, any idea which is the best of bucks?
*
You should consider Maxxis Victra I-Pro as well if you are considering UC6.

Albeit, they are available in 225/55R16 instead. Pricing should be below RM300 per piece.

Hi everyone. I'm an owner of a modded Satria Neo. Planning to change the tyres (205/45/16). Would like to get your recommendations or comments on these few choices:

1) Continental MC6
2) Goodyear F1 Sport
3) Michelin PS3
4) Bridgestone RE004

Hope to hear from some of you. Thank you.
*
PS3 would still be my preferred choice if the price is not much different than the rest.

Can you still buy PS3 now?
I'm quite interested in Goodyear F1 Sport performance and lifespan actually...the reviews are pretty great. But Goodyear has been the one with bad reviews for me in the past...
*
Yes, it is still available for certain sizes.

Yes, been hearing good reviews about this tyre as well. But never got the chance to try yet.

what would be ideal size to downsize from 185/55 R16 to R15 inch wheel within causing more than 3% difference.

More onto performance driving but looking to downsize just to reduce the unsprung weight.

Had a 15 inch wheel with 6.0J width, certainly wont be able to fit 205 tires.

Webpage I found i mostly on upsizing but I cant find downsizing part.
*
You can downsize to 195/60R15 size. 195 width can fit 6.0J

I believe fitting 6J wheels with 195/55R15 would not be an issue right?
*
No issue. In fact, maximum fitment for 6J is 205 width.
