I know wat u mean and has always practice exactly that, but last few months i have this thoughts :
If i need to swap the tyres every 15k, i hv to do it twice a year.
In 4 yrs = 8x, each time alignment + balancing if rm40, =320
Is it worth it? 😁
Unless my car so ngam got do some repair or change on the tyres area, then do the swap n alignment balancing, then oklo
Also again, when we rotate the tyres the front tyres which are usually has less meat will go to the back as well, so is LPPL 😂

Not worth it and I buy your idea about the un-necessity of periodic tyre rotation/balancing/alignment in typical 2WD.
Practised such for a decade, if not more.
Exception being when one of four tyres encounter unusual socalled inherent wear which cannot be rectified by proper alignment works, specifically with a certain AWD.
Edit:
My XM2's at Avanza Rear at 95k km is still good and I intend to push it to say, 105-115k km till touching tread wear indicator bar.
Only balance once when newly purchased upon installation. No alignment and no periodic rotation throughout its life thus far.
I believe you don't need to perform alignment and balancing if you were to just rotate them. Just rotate them each time you service your car since based on what you've posted, it sounds like you drive around 30K km a year.
Only do an alignment if the steering feels wrong, or balancing when you feel something's wrong like vibrations, etc.
