QUOTE(chephren @ Oct 12 2016, 05:02 PM) Hello sure ar bro?size is 245/45/17?was wondering this size at this price is correct?good deal.Need an advise here. I am looking for Michelin donut with the size of 245/45R17 and encounter a few offers: 1. Nearest Michelin Authentic dealer - RM 450 (not include GST) 2. Facebook - RM 440 (include GST) 3. Tyre Price Malaysia - RM 400 (include all but the tire is 2015's) Should i opt for the 2015 tires? The price is very tempting.. This post has been edited by leehernandez: Oct 14 2016, 11:19 AM |

QUOTE(bernard dompok @ Nov 29 2016, 02:13 PM) guys. what is "low profile" tyre? i see some car got very thin tyre. i think it looks good when fit into a large rim. how to find these tyre ? Low profile tires are those tires with very thin sidewall. I'd say the sidewall height is less than 10cm. Low profile tires can find any tire shops la. Looks good, can improve handling response on smooth roads, but uncomfortable and more risky to damage the rims. QUOTE(bernard dompok @ Nov 29 2016, 03:20 PM) That is low profile already coz your sidewall height is very thin already at only 9.4cm. My recommendation is to stay above 10cm for best compromise between look, handling, and comfort, ideally between 10.5-11.5cm.QUOTE(usmanjailani @ Dec 2 2016, 02:48 PM) guys..what pro and con diff tire thickness (im not sure what the proper terms) such as 55 front tire and 60 rear tire..planning to go back to kedah from jb..but need change tire first..so anyone?.my rear tire is still good, only need to change the front 1.. The lesser the sidewall height, the harder the ride quality. Vice versa, the more the sidewall height, the more comfortable the ride but also more floating. So like I said above, the ideal compromise based on my experience is to get tires with sidewall height between 10.5cm-11cm.What is your current tire size and for what car? You need to match more or less with the same total diameter with maximum tolerance of 3% from original size, cannot just simply go thinner or taller tires as you wish.
