Honda BRV would be the equivalent to Toyota Rush.
A B-segment base SUV designed for 7 people.
Toyota Rush was built from the same platform as the Toyota Avanza.
Thus in a nutshell you can think of it as an Avanza with AWD and slightly better interior.
Toyota Rush didn't do so well, I suppose when 90% is the same as Toyota Avanza people expect it to be max max 85-95k not over 100k.
I don't think the Honda BRV will be any better.
Most likely built on the same platform which gives us the Jazz, City, and HRV.
I'm expecting them to stretch the platform to fit in that extra row of seats and do some clever sporty design to cover it up nicely.
Drive trains would probably be similar to what those 3 are running now either a 1500 or 1800cc with CVT or 5AT.

If you're complaining about the X-Trail's rear seats then Honda BRV might not be any better.
Unless it would be acceptable to you if the BRV is much cheaper than Xtrail?
Just go for the Honda City.
