not really.
1. there is a difference between a normal showroom and 3s, usually 3s is higher tier and owners richfag so they able to get stock faster or keep more stock.
2. even within the same showroom different salesman might give you a different deal, the standard deals like honda2honda rebate of rm2000 everyone has but they might give you different service, trade-in value, bank rates, etc. according to their individual contacts.
well, that's old technology compared to what the mazda has.
mazda skyactiv is good but do remember unique technology or complicated technology will not equate to cheaaper maintenance since not all workshops will be able to handle them, that is why conti's all have specialist centers.
Will you be buying cash because 2003 cars cannot be loaned.

Anyway HERE is a guide on what to look out for and test to do before buying a used Honda City/Jazz with CVT. It may also be used for other cars with CVT as the technology is the same but this article was written specifically for Honda Jazz/City.

jackbanner sticky it.
Well Inspira should be one of the more better cars you can choose to buy from Proton.
As far as I know there were no big quality or build issues with this car, I'm guessing it was just built using CKD packs from Mitsubishi then they added the Proton logo. The gearbox should be fine, if you're worried you can try to apply the CVT gearbox test before buy guide above.

if you want a toyota no,
really dont know how to answer this..... dont know if you are asking if the car is good? or if the price is right for your needs?? cause this is a terrible car if you have a 100k budget dont need the space and just want a fast car

He wants to change car and his consideration is between BMW E90 325i, Mercedes W204 C250 and the japanese toyota Harrier 2nd gen 2.4..Any insight on these three car?Which is most reliable and the maintenance will not burn a hole in the wallet. haha. The car will be used in 70% highway and 30% town driving.

I tend not to want to be drawn into such things whenever the comparison is modified vs stock.

FYI:
City Club - generally more racer wannabe and ah beng mentality.
Vios Club - same as above.
Jazz Club - i was part of one, generally more chicks and more fun activities.

i'm talking about clubs in general, but the official ones usually better but there are alot of other smaller club/crews with that kinda mindset.

That kinda body type usually is high tax and low volume.
Which is why not all manufacturers have such models, usually Toyota/Honda would have for selected markets because they're big enough.
Smaller players like Mazda that are fighting for survival won't have such models as it is more economical to make 1 model and sell it worldwide.

I'm going to talk about used cars because it would be more interesting.

1. university student: Proton Satria - because when you're a youngster you should have a 2 door faux sports coupe to attract the ladies while still having a car that is easy to maintain on your own or inexpensive when you bring it to a workshop, cheap manuals are under RM5k which is a good bargain for parents looking to instil good values in their kids because they get to DIY fix their cars and learn the value of money.

2. uber driver: Perodua Axia - currently I think this is the best car for the job, new/used it would be in the RM20-30k region depending on spec, so while uber customers don't give extra money if you drive an Axia or Civic, I think a new low spec Axia would be one to go for because you'll be needing the car for your livelihood a new car with warranty is a good stable footing. I'm thinking the G1EX is best suited for uber being a robust manual but if you'd need an auto then you've gotta choose between a RM35k new or RM20-30k used.

Price List

3. sales executive: Nissan Latio Sedan/Proton Inspira/Toyota Vios - I'm guessing this include salesman kind of role. Toyota Vios would be a good choice because it is reliable and cheap to maintain, however the only issue with it is the price vs year make, because of better RV you're usually forced to buy and older car for the same amount of money compared to Latio or Inspira. To compare apple to apple we'll talk about Latio 1.8 and Inspira 1.8, in terms of looks the Inspira is of course more handsome and size as well with the Latio being a B-segment inspired design but bloated to be C-segment. Fuel consumption and maintenance cost for them aren't too far apart but Inspira would cost abit more because the 1.8 variant isn't common here, you may want to consider the 2.0 because it would be the same as the Mitsubishi Lancer which is more common.

4. company director: Depends some richfag enough any car also can, some only Camry laugh.gif

5. mover: define mover.

6. senior citizen: Toyota Rush - you would want something safe yet idiot proof and reliable which I think this car is able to deliver, firstly it uses bullet proof Toyota engine/gearbox which is also cheap to maintain, power/performance wise it is nothing amazing but good enough for seniors to move around, safety it isn't state of the art but 2 airbags and a high chassis (so during accident you actually only damage the bumper/wheels and because it is higher less chances of bumpers of on coming cars penetrating cabin) is decent protection for the allocated budget of getting such cars around 2010 or younger at less than RM40k

7. family car: Nissan Livina - although Alza/Wish/Stream all are within the same bodysize there are issues with them all, Alza is woefully under powered, Stream has no rear aircon vents, Wish is usually too expensive because of the high Toyota RV issue. Livina wins them all because it would be the cheapest 1800cc MPV of such a category, it has rear aircon vents, normal RV so it is a nice bargain for used car punters. I would say this is not for a big family but maybe a growing family mom, dad + 2 kids with space behind for groceries and strollers if the kids are younger. The 7 seater capacity isn't for full time use as the rear seats are only good enough for kids so it is best used when fetching friends of the kids for playdates and/or to school (maybe can earn extra side income doing that).

This is a bit difficult because what is your definition of "lots of luggage space".
At first I thought maybe MPV but it doesn't seem like it.

2009 Nissan Sentra 1.6 - it is always recommended to get a car as young as possible that meets your requirements and loan, I know Altis is a choice but it would be older, although the Sentra is based on older technology the production only stopped around 2009 so therefore the car is still relatively new (7 years old). At this price range you can't be too fussy on certain things if you want a younger car which I recommend for non-car person buyers due to lesser potential issues. Not much to choose from and I'm not loving this particular advert because it isn't all stock/original looks to be modified.

2009 Nissan Latio 1.6 - this is a C-segment like the Sentra and is based on a newer design and platform so of course passive safety aspects like a more rigid body with accident crumple zones are incorporated into this car, however it is still pretty basic C-segment like the Sentra without things like rear disc brakes but it has ABS but doesn't have stuff common in C-segments now like BA (brake assist) and EBD (electronic brake distribution), they both lack ESC (electronic stability control e.g. VSA in honda and VSC in Toyota) but it is also missing in most Nissan's except higher range like Serena and Teana. However, you get a much more spacious interior and boot space compared to the Sentra. Maintenance would be about the same for both cars as they're both 1600cc engines and from Nissan, Nissan parts are easily available and cheap.

You can get a quite new/young Latio for your budget.
Or plurge abit and get something like a 2008/2009 Honda Civic hmm.gif

LOL! because Vios, City, Myvi, and the rest of the below 70k cars the owners have this 2" mentality, scared to be belittled by more expensive cars so they act tough and fake their car performance wif garang2 bodykit and exhaust laugh.gif
