Hello sifus, looking for advice on a second hand car. Any recommendations for a budget of RM23k?
All recommendations are welcomed. Not much preference but wanna know what type of good second hand car can get for RM 23k range. Been looking at For Fiesta 1.6 sport 2012 with mileage of 75000km (is that considered good?) for RM 18k. |

QUOTE(lololkangary @ Aug 4 2020, 02:49 PM) Hello sifus, looking for advice on a second hand car. Any recommendations for a budget of RM23k? Was in your situation not long ago. In the end after much survey settled on Honda Accord 7.5th gen because it's being the least problematic of all generation and spare parts still readily available at reasonable price. Look around and you can find some under 23k for 2.0 or 2.4L albeit a little high mileage. All recommendations are welcomed. Recently got an interest back to drive manual car. I noticed below RM100k range, mostly now we can buy those 1.3 models from proton/perodua. So just happen to think what if i am willing to consider used cars but more powerful engine such as 1.6, 1.8 and 2.0. 1. Brand : Honda or prefer japanese car brand 2. Budget : RM40k or less 3. New/Used/Unreg : Used 4. Specs : At least 1.6 above 5. Transmission : Manual 6. NA or FI : NA 7. Type : 8. Remarks : I am quite noob on manual car engines but i start to see there are a lot of older honda civic manual car available. For now, I am leaning towards Honda manual. But definitely open to other suggestions if it's still Japanese car. Thank you! dogbert_chew liked this post

QUOTE(Alston Sassoon @ Aug 10 2020, 08:43 PM) I think the most important thing about buying a car is to look at your budget and family needs. For example, how many children are in the family, whether they travel frequently during holidays, etc. If there are many children and travel frequently, then you must choose to buy a more spacious car. I am a family of three and have bought a honda city for several years, and now I think it is still very useful. In addition, I recommend a website called Autofun that looks at car information. The content is very rich. Why promote Indon Wap_car website here? The car information although rich in content are mostly non applicable for our buying decisions |

1. Brand: Currently looking at Toyota Yaris. Also looking at other recommendation.
2. Budget: 70k-80k / monthly 500-800. Anything better and cheaper also can recommend me. 3. New 4. Specs: not particular. But would prefer comfort and safety first. 5. Transmission: Automatic 6. NA or FI: don't know about this, please recommend. 7. Type: compact / hatchback 8. Remarks: Looking to upgrade from a MyVi (2011). I've test drive the Yaris and coming from a MyVi, definitely feels like a satisfying upgrade. I work at KL, hometown Seremban (travel once a week or fortnightly). I have one child currently, and probably looking to add one more or two more soon. Looking for some advice from sifus , generic or specific, please feel free to speak your opinions. Thank you! |
