QUOTE(ultralightbing @ Jun 22 2018, 08:42 PM) 1. Brand: 2012/13 Nissan Sylphy 2.0 vs. 2012 Honda City E vs. 2012 Mazda Mazda3 2.0 Among all those 3, i would suggest Mazda 3. It is the best looking, drives better than those two and safer (full spec has 6 airbags iinm). Downsides are it is the smallest among all - even the city which is one segment lower is more spacious. Plus its the one that drinks more fuel i believe. But this is compensated by excellent driving experience.2. Budget. 40k max 3. Used 4. Specs. Top spec 5. Transmission. Automatic 6. - 7. Type. Sedan/hatchback suitable for tall person (180cm) 8. Remarks. Leaning towards Sylphy bu don’t wanna look like unker. City is high maintenance + too common. Mazda3 looks cool & is my pick but can’t seem to find any info regarding no-warranty service. Pls give other suggestion if applicable Honda city is indeed a very familiar one otr. Why? because its quite reliable and has the highest resale value. Its also the most spacious here. However there's nothing to shout about when it comes to driving experience. Sylphy on the other hand is the most comfortable here (typical nissan). The fc is also the lowest i suppose (even better than the city). Space is slightly bigger than mazda 3 but i don't quite like how it drives. The cvt is indeed helpful in fc department but it doesn't really fun to drive. And yes its quite ugly to begin with. |

1. Brand : Perodua/Honda
2. Budget : 58k 3. New/Used/Unreg : New Perodua or Used Honda 4. Specs : Full Spec 5. Transmission : AT 6. NA or FI : NA 7. Type : Sedan 8. Remarks : My first self purchase car after 3 years working, buying a car for the wife daily commute, must be sedan as we need the extra boot to store stuff when we balik kampung (we carry lot of stuff). So a hatchback is not an option. Very used to drive vehicles with good NVH, like 2016 vios, bmw merc etc. As a first self buy car im looking for within my budget of 58k that can offer at least almost the same NVH. Right now im looking at a 2014 Honda City V Spec and a New Full Spec Bezza 1.3 (Maybe for new Bezza i can go aftermarket soundproofing?) The car must be easy to maintain/reliable since wife will be using it 90% of the time. No Proton. Thoughts? This post has been edited by benblitz: Jun 26 2018, 08:52 AM |

QUOTE(benblitz @ Jun 26 2018, 08:43 AM) 1. Brand : Perodua/Honda A used 2013 Civic Hybrid would be within your budget and would be meeting your requirements - especially for the NVH part and it would be bigger than the City that you are looking at. For a more peace of mind - look for one with service record booklet as that will ensure that you can claim warranty on the Hybrid components if anything does go sour with the hybrid component (8 years unlimited mileage). Having the booklet also will ensure that you dont fall victim of odometer tempering.2. Budget : 58k 3. New/Used/Unreg : New Perodua or Used Honda 4. Specs : Full Spec 5. Transmission : AT 6. Brand : Proton Iriz
2. Budget : 27k - 30k 3. New/Used/Unreg : Doesn't matter. 4. Specs : lowest specs 5. Transmission : Manual 6. NA or FI : NA? 7. Type : 4 seater. 8. Remarks : Wondering if i should get a 2014 or 2015 model of used proton iriz, it is still under warranty right? Was it any better and cost less than getting a new iriz? How much do i have to pay for insurance for this model? Is it based on the market price or the price bought from the buyer? Need your advice from the sifus here. Tq |

Goes without saying a used version of a particular vehicle will have lower cost of entry. How much do i have to pay for insurance for this model? Is it based on the market price or the price bought from the buyer? Need your advice from the sifus here. Tq Insurance premium based on insurer's market valuation, and if you have other types of coverage. Absolutely noting to do with the purchase price, even if you bought it for RM1 or RM100,000. |

Is there a trusted car inspection service that I can book in Johor? I checked motortrader and saw that they just service Klang Valley.

1. Brand : Camry 2.5v / Hybrid 2. Budget : 90 - 120k 3. New/Used/Unreg : Used 4. Specs : Full spec 5. Transmission : Auto 6. NA or FI : Any 7. Remarks : Looking a used car for a 60 yo man. He needs to travel from kl to Malacca/JB once or twice in a week. Had initially decided on 2013/14 2.5v but then realized used hybrid is only 20-25k more (worth it since its a lot better car) Requirements; - Comfortable for driving on highway - Reliable (low chances of breaking down) - Enough power Questions; - Is it okay to take a used hybrid car? (not so familiar with the battery etc) - Should we stick to 2.5v and save some cash or just go for hybrid? (this car will only be driven on highway. In town he drives e39 but not too confident to let an old man drive the 17 year old car for long distances.) Ps : Still open to any suggestions within the budget. Thank you. |

QUOTE(Kilohertz @ Jul 2 2018, 09:43 PM) Any common issues with year 2016-2017 toyota altis? and how to know if the car has been involved in accident before? best join altis club to get bigger sample size of owners of that particular year(s).thanks! As for accident, just gotta learn what to look out for. Eg; over spray on parts where there shouldn't have paint. eg; inconsistent paint wave from panel to panel Different areas may have different ways its fixed/fixes can be seen. |
