what is the interest rate you all getting for your used car loan? i know on paper most bank can go lowest 3.4-3.5%. But when it is done through car dealer it is complicated.

i get an offer from Hong Leong 3.7% for 7 years, small loan amount below 50k.

Planning to get a car for my wife, this is a second car and only will be driving to work and fetching my son from baby sitter. Her yearly mileage is only 6k so I don't think it's worth it to get new. The usage is too low to justify a new car.

However I would like the car to be safe, big enough for a car seat, have isofix and the boot big enough to say put a stroller.

What do you think of Iriz , vs polo sedan (1.6a, normal auto gearbox)  ? Any other car in the equation? Currently driving 2003 vios (vios is really reliable btw).

Don't think she's willing to drive a manual that's the problem.

Haven't test drive the iriz yet , but reading reviews on the CVT whine, I think that is one thing she will notice coming from a vios.

I guess you're hinting at Honda Jazz when you said about folding seats because their Ultraseats are famous for that, but unfortunately with your budget you can only obtain the first generation model which is quite old now so I don't recommend it.

2010 Nissan Latio 1.6 - I think for your needs this would be a good choice, it is a frugal little 1600cc engine (although there are 1800cc variants i think you should consider if you go outstation alot, if city driving mainly then the 1600cc is just fine). Limited folding with the seats but at least they are leather wrapped. You'd be hard pressed to buy a 2010 model C-segment car with your budget unless maybe older technology cars like Nissan Sentra or local makes like Proton Waja/Gen2. Maintenance wise it is pocket friendly like most Japanese cars.

You are same age with my Wira 1.5 MT. but my car was "born" in April, bought it new from the Jln Chan Sow Lin Proton Center after waiting for 2 mths with booking fees paid.

clutchpack itself is around 3-4k if im not mistaken...... if only they sold these cars with the conventional gb

my opinion, vw running the conventional gearboxes are actually pretty decent......

2.0 is the n46, had some issues with the chain, valvesomething (forgot ape they panggil dah) so, not the best engine developed by bmw (to be fair was told it isnt something that will necessarily happen but it was a problem for some)

on the plus side, the 2.0 is probably one of the more rare models to find here....  so very unlikely you bump into one (at least i myself have never seen the n46 before)
ehh ade reason.... u join the bmw club and they will telll you all about it! be warned however, they tend to love the 6 potters alot more than the 4 potter siblings! they will try poison you!!!

I personally believe that, if you have good tyres and drive responsibly, its good enough....  you should not be getting yourself in a scenario where you really need vsc to save you but then again, in the back of my head i know that sometimes shit happens whether you like it or not~

I seen one and almost paid a rm1k deposit but my eagle eye mech fren open the engine oil cap , smell it, peep inside , saw a lot of sludge , advice me to abort the purchase cause it will require an overhaul , minimum top overhaul to solve it. But the auto transmission was good & speed damn powerful , 2.5L the way to go bro...........

If you're looking for hatchback then iriz is a good car, have you test drive it? if you haven't go and do so. test drive all the car that you're interested in. in the end you'll be the one who drives it.
