what is the interest rate you all getting for your used car loan? i know on paper most bank can go lowest 3.4-3.5%. But when it is done through car dealer it is complicated.

i get an offer from Hong Leong 3.7% for 7 years, small loan amount below 50k.

wanted to get maybank but the sales man says maybank do not layan small amount used car loan,

Ambank were so tedious asking so many question, until your neighbour gold fish also they want to know the name, kiasi betui

my guess is that the sales man only apply bank following his own interest...

it is ok @hongzheng.

Planning to get a car for my wife, this is a second car and only will be driving to work and fetching my son from baby sitter. Her yearly mileage is only 6k so I don't think it's worth it to get new. The usage is too low to justify a new car.

However I would like the car to be safe, big enough for a car seat, have isofix and the boot big enough to say put a stroller.

What do you think of Iriz , vs polo sedan (1.6a, normal auto gearbox)  ? Any other car in the equation? Currently driving 2003 vios (vios is really reliable btw).
*
get iriz 1.6 exec or exec 1.3 mt or standard. dont get cvt thanks.

Don't think she's willing to drive a manual that's the problem.
The standard comes with traditional gearbox?

Haven't test drive the iriz yet , but reading reviews on the CVT whine, I think that is one thing she will notice coming from a vios.

hello, you have not helped me to choose between wira, new iriz manual 1.6 exec or exec 1.3,Waja cps,Gen 2 Cps or new Exora Bold CPS. Please help me to choose it now. hmm.gif cry.gif. My favourite 90's old car is proton wira because waja cps and 4g18's engine are quite reliable. same goes to gen 2 cps, iriz manual 1.6 exec or exec 1.3 mt and New exora bold cps

how about  ┌∩┐(◣_◢)┌∩┐
go ask your paul tan
I guess you're hinting at Honda Jazz when you said about folding seats because their Ultraseats are famous for that, but unfortunately with your budget you can only obtain the first generation model which is quite old now so I don't recommend it.

2010 Nissan Latio 1.6 - I think for your needs this would be a good choice, it is a frugal little 1600cc engine (although there are 1800cc variants i think you should consider if you go outstation alot, if city driving mainly then the 1600cc is just fine). Limited folding with the seats but at least they are leather wrapped. You'd be hard pressed to buy a 2010 model C-segment car with your budget unless maybe older technology cars like Nissan Sentra or local makes like Proton Waja/Gen2. Maintenance wise it is pocket friendly like most Japanese cars.
85k he gotta be kidding  laugh.gif
you're welcome.
i didn't explain too much as i think you're pretty familiar with honda's.  icon_rolleyes.gif
*
Zenix, you go and tell me to ask paul tan. No way, Then if he want to go for Honda, then go for honda as you know i am not forcing him to get it because this is a democracy car where people can disagree and agree on some things
.Hey can you please tell me which proton car do i have to get in order to meet my requirement and preference?Proton Iriz 1.6 or 1.3 exec or Proton Exora Bold CPS or CFE or Proton Waja CPS or Proton Gen 2 CPS or Proton Suprima S or Preve turbo thanks smile.gif .NO please stop putting the foul language sad.gif thanks. biggrin.gif biggrin.gif

1. Brand : Proton or VW
2. Budget : 70-90
3. New/Used/Unreg : New
4. Specs : -
5. Transmission : Auto
6. NA or FI :
7. Type : Sedan
8. Remarks : I'm actually just looking for a reliable family car sedan. Got Honda City at home, so i'll minus that of my list. test drive the new Vento, and i'm loving it, just concerned with the DSG gearbox. advice guys? test drive Preve and Suprima before still not sure what to buy.. advice pls.
*
Please go and get Suprima S standard because it is cheaper than preve cfe and it's interior quality is better than preve cfe. If you love vento, then stick with vento.

How about the space tho? Suprima standard dont have VSC like preve premium.. Vento 90k is it worth it? all of the others are 70k.. thats 20 k diff.. y la car so expensive.. haiz
*
suprima s standard is ok right now since they have fixed the oil cooler problem which is the biggest problem in proton turbocharged car. I think suprima s is more spacious than preve cfe. if you want esc and leather seats then get suprima s executive otherwise stick with Preve CFE

Nice2. Suprima looked alot better too. should i wait for the new persona though? will there be a facelift preve or Suprima in the near future?
*
The New Persona will be like Iriz. But it is downgraded to B segment. If you desperately want a car right now, then go and buy Suprima S Standard because it is cheaper than preve cfe and suprima S exec

you have to ask LSM1991 about suprima s and preve cfe because he knows these cars more than me. And he was born in 1991 and he is older than me. I was born in 1997.

2.0 is the n46, had some issues with the chain, valvesomething (forgot ape they panggil dah) so, not the best engine developed by bmw (to be fair was told it isnt something that will necessarily happen but it was a problem for some)

on the plus side, the 2.0 is probably one of the more rare models to find here....  so very unlikely you bump into one (at least i myself have never seen the n46 before)
ehh ade reason.... u join the bmw club and they will telll you all about it! be warned however, they tend to love the 6 potters alot more than the 4 potter siblings! they will try poison you!!!
*
ok lsm1991, i will get proton iriz 1.6 exec mt ok or not?

when i asked the otai's in the bmw clubs thats the reply i got haha im just relaying the info  tongue.gif
each person you ask has a different opinion, so up to you to kumpul the info and come up with your own conclusion.... then if you do buy the car and own it for a while, you can reformulate your conclusion based on your own conclusion hehe
hehe yelah... problem is tax tax tax!!..... otherwise my grubby fingers would probably have latched onto a 1jz e36 already rclxms.gif~~ then again did end up with a very pretty  car (at least to me), so no complaints brows.gif
i cannot say if its important or not haha.....  its something great to have in an emergency..... it might save your life
I personally believe that, if you have good tyres and drive responsibly, its good enough....  you should not be getting yourself in a scenario where you really need vsc to save you but then again, in the back of my head i know that sometimes shit happens whether you like it or not~
*
Why do you ignore me man? Ok What car are you using right now? proton what

If you are fine with the annual RT of abt rm860, just get a 2.5L M54B25 Beemer. more powerful & better FC

I seen one and almost paid a rm1k deposit but my eagle eye mech fren open the engine oil cap , smell it, peep inside , saw a lot of sludge , advice me to abort the purchase cause it will require an overhaul , minimum top overhaul to solve it. But the auto transmission was good & speed damn powerful , 2.5L the way to go bro...........
*
Digilife and Lsm1991,why are you rejecting me right now?I am going to get Iriz 1.6 mt executive. Is it ok or not?
