Hey sifu's, what is the "normal" processing fees for buying a used car through a dealer nowadays? I called a dealer around KL area, and he told me the price displayed on mudah.my or Carlist is just for the car, the processing fee on top of it can get to RM4.5-5k. I may be very wrong but for a RM40k used car, I find that amount ridiculous. What am I to expect walking into a dealer testing out cars that are displayed on used car websites?

For higher reliability and keep more than 7 years suggest buy new.
Penang city drive with heavy traffic get SUV for height easier to see ahead.
Compact SUV I suggest Ativa. (X50 delivery in 2023 uncertain)
If don't need height Myvi is cheaper alternative. Want branded then Yaris. Both compact enough

that's because their roads are better too 

with RM100k budget, it'll be a headache to get a good daily car. You're looking at ~2015 BMW320 F10 , 2013 Audi Q7 ... which IMHO is not worth the trouble over a new car especially if it's going to be your daily driver.

just to put it in perspective, a 2015 is already 7 years ! how much longer will it last ... 5 years ?

but personally to scratch that "conti" car itch, I bought a 2011 Alfa 159 for RM30k a few years back. Drive it a couple times a month and enough to satisfy me 

Yr Ativa already perfect for city drive with low end max torque from the turbo and slightly higher view for jams and elevated ride for potholes.

Hey guys, i managed to checkout the proton x90 but have a weird dilemma now. Honestly, everything about it feels good except it felt so big. No test drive available yet but Ive never driven such big car before. So big im actuallly reconsidering to get veloz now because of size (cheaper also being plus point). Would like to get some advice on driving big cars. Many questions in my mind.
1) Is it easy to get used to driving big cars
2) How dificult is it to find parking?
3) Is it even good reason to choose veloz over x90 because smaller size and easier to drive at cost of comfort?

for family usage. normal city use most of the time, only highway - probably nkve, elite, federal, ldp.. the usual KV highways.
maybe occasional interstate travels.
definitely avoid those.
just generally, say buy through a platform. Maybe carsome / mytukar.

I understand Kenari would be something you think of because P2 is known for reliable cars but P2 cars like Kenari and Kelisa of that era aren't as safe when it comes to accident survivability. Let me show you a few for your consideration.

2007 Nissan Dualis - this is actually the twin of the boxy X-Trail (the one before the current one) it is a realible car, an SUV which isn't too big or too high, would be great for oldies getting in and out. Parts and maintenance isn't an issue as apart of body panels it shares almost all components with X-Trail. And, YES, you would be budgeting to upkeep of a 2000cc car instead of a 1000cc car but safety and performance I see offset the slightly higher upkeep bill.
