that tinted from toyota sure not kacau by JPJ because too light.. already seen it..
but most importantly the heat rejection.. quite good.. maybe i just accept the toyota tint and add another layer too make it darker for rear windscreen and windows.. save a lot.. if wanna redo the tint, i ask V-Kool around rm2.8k all around for V-Kool Elite + Windowshield 50 4Mil (Security)..

as for video recorder aka CCTV is true.. just went to the roadshow at Setia City Mall there..
3rd row seat is comfortable even for chubby guy like me, i n my wife can seat comfortably in the 3rd row thanks to rear legroom under the 2nd row seat..
the car has low floor, which is good to transfer goods and easier to go inside..
*
To make sure that you new car will not be kacau by JPJ, maybe good to use those removable type and heard some seller able to customer make it and can easily remove it as it is just statically sticking to the windows or windscreen

I dont actually mind whether dark or bright as long as it does block the sun light and will mostly just continue to use back those cheap removable one from my Avanza as still work fine for me smile.gif

Ok, then I have to wait further. No luck to witness it in Penang yet. Thanks a lot.  I need to utilize all 7-seaters + wheelchair.
*
You might want to measure your wheelchair size and the little boot space think can only hold a small wheelchair or stroller.. very similar to Avanza but slightly bigger so if your wheelchair fit inside Avanza, guess it should fit inside the Sienta..

as for removable tinted, i already tried.. the difficult part is to cut it according to the window size because the tinted thicker then normal tinted (the thickness is to make it more durable)
need to ask shop or professional person to cut for u..
*
Actually I am just planning to use those static type even thought the size is not perfect but at least it does block the sun light when we traveling for long distance with kids sitting behind.. front seat is not really needed..anyway, just try to lay the 2nd row down all the way, seen like the beam will block most of the sunlight which is good..

Do you feel worry about the sliding door tiny little steel wire which I feel very fragile and might break easily.. is that wire consider consumable or not? are all the car sliding door are all design is such a way?

Haha.. Change car already..  Hopefully la..
*
No lah... expect at least to use the car for close to 10 years before changing it.. but typically close to 10 years lots of parts need to change so depending on the depreciation value.. this is why never consider those Nissan or other low resell value cars..

I've not sit in Avanza before, so can't tell. Anyway, it should available in Toyota showrooms tomorrow onward, right?
*
It will be officially launch on tomorrow but not sure whether can test drive or not after tomorrow.. cause their FB page mention only able to test drive from 26 Aug onward.. dunno.. kind of messy communication from Toyota

Just being inform by the stupid UMW Segambut SA who go disappear after I chase him for car delivery status on Monday till now that he didn't put in my order and only holding my deposit since end July till now.. Now his other colleague asking me whether to book my order pulak and they can only commit to give me the car by end Sep or early Oct but with additional RM500 discount.. really pissed off..

I am thinking of whether to cancel his order and go elsewhere or wait till the end of this year then only book the car again since my 2006 1.5G avanza is still working fine.. Damn.. was thought can get the car by early Sep and now making me dont have the mood the continue buying from this guy

Tough time passes, tough people last forever..

Thanks and now I am just waiting for the other SA to call me back and maybe will bargain more with him as this is their problem.. Might be asking him to give me 2k discount if he can't deliver by before end of Sep or perhaps ask him to give me a free AVX to AVN upgrade tongue.gif

Anyway, not in hurry now and wife was asking me to go for other Toyota dealer or wait till the end of the year since this is all faith smile.gif

Had decided to cancel my order with the stupid UMW SA who they claimed that he had resign and this is the reason why they didnt book in my order until now.. even they offer me 1.5k discount.. think will delay my purchase until the end of the year for the new batch of car.. will wait for you guy feedback when received your new car beside maybe waiting for more other option..

Really disappointed with UMW and this is my second bad experience with Toyota car as I thought previously was going through dealer and UMW should be better but seen to be worst..

Sigh.. faith perhaps.

expected to get the new sienta today or tomorrow.. in sha Allah..
any advice on what to check when accepting the car?
*
Congrats! thats fast and guess they might not really getting that many orders or perhaps some did really cancel their order like myself.. Was talking to the new Segambut UMW branch manager who transfer from Damasara Lexus branch, seen like UMW got some management issue lately which perhaps does disappointing some of their value loyalty customer like me.. I will hang on with my Avanza for the next couple of months and see how..

Appreciate your feedback on your new car smile.gif

[attachmentid=7499708]
[attachmentid=7499717]
[attachmentid=7499722]

received it on Friday 9/9/2016 around 6:30pm.. take a while to reach my house due to heavy traffic from Klang to Shah Alam..
Louis arrived with the car which still wrap with plastic for driver side, firstly he show all the car function n how to use the GPS n all.. then come to inspection with the chassis number, body condition etc..

all is good.. after sign the last document then he back to another toyota roadshow.. good service by Louis.. appreciate it, quick response, any question i ask he answer in very details explanation and if he not quite sure will inform back after confirm it back.. estimation time duration given is exactly as he predict..
overall very satisfied with Louis service.. satisfied customer here  rclxm9.gif , thumbs up for Louis  thumbup.gif

Your one is with AVN? heard from the TSOM from FB that the AVX does not have guiding line on the reverse camera. Is it true?

Did you paid extra 2k+ as to upgrade the AVX to AVN? The outlook of the AVN looks very much different as compare to the AVX or perhaps your SA give you as an free upgrade or something?

When installing the roof mounted display, does this required to cut any of those wire which could void the harness warranty? Are you still able to view the rear mirror or it will be block when the roof mounted display is open? Will rebook Sienta by Oct/Nov timeframe so might consider this if no concern on warranty smile.gif but definitely will want to bypass the hand break interlocking which I guess consider fine tongue.gif but roof mounted seen like require supplier and additional connection to the AVN which I guess need to cut some wires?

The front foglamp is on by default no? The SA told me that the front foglamp is DRL meaning if you do not on your lights, it will turn on.
*
If you refer the DRL is the fog light guess you can turn it off by switching from on/Auto to Off. For the fog light, thought there is a switch to turn it on of of from the same light control rod? Instead of push up or down, that switch is a round little one for you to spin for on or off, something similar to my 10 years old avanza, no?

the switch only for rear foglamp, as for DRL no switch for it.. and the light switch got AUTO - SMALL LIGHT - LIGHT, no turn off option offered..
*
When I test drive the car at Puchong, the SA did managed to turn the DRL off when turning the switch to off? not sure as I dont have the car but thought I remember that I saw the fog light switch over the same rod.. tongue.gif

That is close to 2k then. Thanks for the info. I need to think whether it is worth to upgrade.
Is it before gst?
*
As per Toyota price list, include GST is RM2014.. still not sure whether is it worth to update to AVN but only good things is it wont void any warranty and think can still install the roof mounted LCD without cutting any connection but think the power to the roof mounted LCD will still required some wife connection which I am not too sure whether this can be done without cutting any wire..

As I read from the ST singapore review on the BA Toyota which will be imported from same Indo plant, FC is expected to be around 6.2l/100km which is equivalent to be around 16.2km/l.. the JDM version seen like able to go up to 20+km/l with maybe maintain at around 80/90km/h speed most of the time without much of heavy footing action.. biggrin.gif
