Habis duit already. My solution might involve a hammer and angle grinder.
*
or you can put it as open without casing that might cool things off fast and easy(jk) laugh.gif . anyway just better off wait or change casing for such powerful card.

I'm also on 1080p with GTX980 and I'm pulling my hair out because I can't max everything on Rise of Tomb raider. Lag and stutter very obvious but I'm on dx12 though. Feel like running out to get a 1070 so that I can see Lara in all her full glory biggrin.gif

Patience..... Patience......
*
haha think of the temptation of the game to trade gtx980 for gtx1070 wasn't really worth it at all unless you have some extra to spend however i test my gc level max detail i can afford which already heaven for me biggrin.gif

Oh? What card are you using? Look at the minimum frame rates. That would really spoil the experience....
*
haha I think that minimum frame rates just a small hiccup (1 sec due to i notice anti virus update). anyway I using gtx1080 FE upgrade from my GTX480

With a gtx1080? What resolution?
*
current using with old monitor 1400 x 900 is only 900p. soon budget collecting decided to upgrade 4k monitor or go for 1440p monitor.

QUOTE(stringfellow @ Jul 24 2016, 04:29 PM)
10 years ago, there's tons of customers at LowYat Plaza because it caters to the whole spectrum of buyers, from those wanting the cheapest of the cheap to the highest end of the bleeding edge. That's why you had to wait, because the crowd that is being served at the store covers the whole entire spectrum. Now, the bleeding edge enthusiasts couldn't be bothered to go there anymore, the selection caters to the boring and mundane budget end. And when the majority of the stores only caters to the budget end, what's the difference between going out of the way into the city center to Low Yat to find the parts I need, versus just dropping by some garden variety PC stores near your housing area that also stock these things, ...or going online and make your purchases there. Just like the items you're selling on your signature. If people can buy from you straight from the web browser, why should they drop by anywhere else outside of their home? Is there a booth somewhere that they can see for themselves how good a quality it is the items you're selling? What happened to physical retail presence?

My gripe is more towards the stock availability almost exclusively only covering the boring and mundane budget level rather than the higher end ones. I'm not asking them to stock as many high end ones as how many there are covering the budget ones, just enough to entice the dormant high end purchasers to get off their asses and check out the scene physically, rather than trawling online forums and social media. "IF you want something else other than the budget ones we have here, have to order". Favourite statement there I quote from all the resellers there at LYP. Like I said before: "Got money, no stock".
*
Well I kinda agree with you in this nowadays retail shop are forced more on budget gadget instead display they glory of high tech (not all but most shop) i hate to say that when I was looking for gtx1080 and monitor predator x34" most of the shop said need to be back to back order + 2 to 3 month duration arrive ( what the point waiting so long when I can instantly get it from any online supplier or forum) however from the retail shop point of view I guess ether I can say they all must be pressure very hard on sustain their shop from profit or GST% recently kill all their motivation of promoting unlike 10 years ago they have the free ahead cash to promote their shop with latest high end gadgets

Btw just found my sweet monitor for my gtx1080 and best chair that I can afford ( dream setup completed)

Hi to all situ, I need some help over here. My leadtek 980 fan very noisy and keep spinning after update to latest driver. Is any one facing the same problem?
*
Well there is 2 solution I can think off is (hard way or the easy way)

Easy way - reverse the driver back and hopefully it will solve the issue.

Hard way - could be if your gpu fan is full of dust that need to be cleaning just take it of and clean it up maybe it start to slow down the noise because of the temperature spike.

i try Homeworld Desserts of Kharak seem it has issue with support on 3440x1440 resolution however is an easy fix with editing setting file.

True also. Depends on game. Pixel jump from standard WQHD is not that big.

H-Res V-Res  Total Pixels  Pixel Jump
1,920  1,080  2,073,600
2,650  1,080  2,862,000  788,400
2,560  1,440  3,686,400  824,400
3,440  1,440  4,953,600  1,267,200
3,840  2,160  8,294,400  3,340,800

But start chasing that 100Hz on AAA games, then poison seeps in.  devil.gif
