QUOTE(goldfries @ Jul 6 2016, 12:02 PM) RX 480 CFX beats GTX 1080 FE. Problem 1http://www.tweaktown.com/articles/7770/amd...0-4k/index.html No frame time charts, so the perf charts are practically pointless since this is CFX we're talking about. Problem 2 LOOK at those horrid min fps numbers lol. There's no frame time to back it up, but logically speaking that does mean the framerates are jumping all over the place like a bunny. If that's playable then may God bless whoever tries to play at 4k with a pair of 480x. |

1440p will never become the norm. The market is just forcing everyone to go 4k instead, with the same old 60hz refresh rates.

The last time Nvidia had a great x60 series card was during the Fermi days, on the 460 and 560Ti.
What an insane come back to the mainstream market. |

QUOTE(adilz @ Jul 27 2016, 02:45 PM) Here's a simple article explaining these DPC issue. For games DPC latency does not affect frametimes. It affects how audio piping is delivered in games.http://www.pcper.com/news/Graphics-Cards/N...ver-DPC-Latency This issue effect is more broad and variable, not just gaming. Even some users opening Chrome or using Skype. There's no way to monitor in Windows 10 (LatencyMon works with Win 7 only). But I think I may have this issue also because after I change to GTX 1080 from GTX 970, loading up MS Office Picture Manager is noticeably slower. Other apps seem okay. Game wise not sure because can't compare between GTX 1080 and GTX 970. Maybe I'll do fraps frametime logging and see if this happens. A high DPC latency will result in skipping of audio effects, crackles, and also distortion. *EDIT* Before I forget, high DPC latency will also cause a spike of input lag. It may just be for a split millisecond, but that's all it really takes to mess up a headshot. Imagine spikes of input lag every 500μs then... lol.
