tripleBkianweicin SFV, there are no more easter egg like
- use this character X times and will unlock XY character
- fight boss few times, then will transport to new palce, and will unlock that place upon winning
- highlight this character Y, do motion up down left right blah2..will unlock another version/character on that character
- etc..
SFV is a straight microtransaction piece of game, which a major turn off to folks who wants to have a goodtime in fighting game against cpu..thanks cashcom. SFV will never appeal new player/casual player if they continue to do their current business model.
the only good thing about SFV; solid battle system, for tournament level..only. and beautiful graphic of course

Completely agree. Capcom games used to be full of content. Final Fight and SFII had bonus rounds in between battles to add some variety. SSF2T had Akuma, selectable via secret code. SF Zero had MORE unlockables, like Dan and Akuma. SF Zero 2 even had different versions of the characters, like SFII Chun Li and Shin Akuma. Even SFIV had all the characters available, unlockable via special conditions (basically just complete arcade mode with all the initial roster).
SFV is just coasting by, since Street Fighter always had solid fight mechanics. Better graphics, sure, but what's with the lack of content? No single player story mode AKA arcade mode? And I don't mean the lousy story mode they added to SFV.
You're right, SFV will never appeal to newer/casual players. Back in the day, we became Street Fighter fans because SFII was the full package: bold, bright graphics, superb gameplay, even if playing alone. I know some of the FGC fans keep saying that SFV is meant for competitive play, but how do you bring in new players this way? Eventually the well will run dry, and you lose the veterans too. Then what? Will Capcom also discontinue Street Fighter due to "lack of interest"?
