I just received the Unlock bootloader permission SMS.

I am now on Global Stable ROM.

Can I unlock it straight or will I hv to flash to China rom stable then China Rom dev first before unlock?

If I need to flash over to China rom first before unlock then after unlock if I revert back to Global Rom, is my bootloader still remain unlock?

My ultimate goal is to stay with Global Rom, with unlocked bootloader, rooted and TWRP on my phone while running on Global Stable rom.

With this configuration, I believe I can no longer update using OTA right? I will have to flash .zip to update right?

What is I unlock the bootloader, root the phone but using original Mi recovery, will I still be able to update via OTA?

If flash to china dev then flash back to stable global, the bootloader status is still unlock?

If incremental update does not work then I will just stick to .zip flash. MIUI .zip flash to update is available to download right? XDA or Mi forum?

I saw Qualcomm Global and Qualcomm China from the link given. I suppose I can only change to Qualcomm China Developer ROM before proceed with unlocking and then flash back the Qualcomm Global Stable that I want right?

Okay, so let me list down steps.

1. Change from global Rom straight to China Qualcomm dev Rom
2. Unlock bootloader
3. Flash twrp, be it kenzo or coffee or alka
4. Flash super su zip using twrp
5. Flash Qualcomm global stable zip via twrp

Then I am all fine?

If I were to update miui version I will have to flash zip from eu.miui.com where the link given by bro above regardless of whatever version of twrp I installed right? There will no longer be OTA update for such setup right?

Managed to unlock BL in Global Stable. Flashed twrp but go into Recovery mode I only see a phone with cable image.
check BL status using adb and it is showing TRUE.

Relock and unlock again then flashed to Global Dev and unlock using mi unlock tool again without flasing twrp. go into recovery mode still showing a phone with cable again.

When in fastboot mode, the command "adb devices" unable to see serial number but if phone boot normally to android system then I can see serial number using "adb devices" command.

What is wrong here?

I think I flashed with some 2 part twrp that modified the boot.img and get screwed. It boots to twrp temporarily then the phone staying in mi logo and won't boot.

Luckily found out edl flash method and get it flashed to global rom image. The edl flashing was pretty long waiting period.

Then I went and watch YouTube tutorial carefully again, I think I did not issue the right adb command hence I cant see serial number in fast boot mode. I managed to flash again twrp cofface following the tutorial. Yes, I have done the driver signature disabling.

Now my phone is finally done according what I wanted it to be.

I tried flashing miui rom .zip downloaded from link given. But I think it just stuck halfway and won't proceed. So now I am on twrp and rooted, so let say if I want to change from global stable to China dev or global dev. I need to use updater to update? Will it success while remain twrp and root?

I think they are not flashable using twrp. I am now on cofface twrp.
I tried updater and it works.

If u did not root and install custom recovery, u may just use updater app to change to global dev

I cannot get lightflow to show the correct setting according to my LED colour liking. Does it actually work on RN3?
