Just want to ask how bad is AP warranty?
Anybody experience with faulty AP Xiaomi phone send to retailer for warranty?
I never buy an AP set, but now want to try some risk.

I know original unit is peace of mind, but currently only AP set is widely available for this Xiaomi Redmi Note 3 Pro.
Current cheapest place to buy original set is at Lazada with credit card discount, GemFive ori set after discount is not much cheaper.

I know phone not easily to get broken, but just in case it happen.

My target is consider the yet to be launch original Mi Max if original Redmi Note 3 Pro really hard to get with cheaper price. But, I think Mi Max would be also very quickly out of stock on pre-order, or sales time.

Hmm..... only original offer peace on mind. I think should forget about AP set.

Haha.... It is the price per performance ratio that matter.
As long as it is original, then will be peace of mind.

At almost the same price range, only can choose Honor 5X or 5C.
There are also Alcatel Flash Plus 2, ZTE Blade V7, etc etc.

Of course, those phone's processor not as powerful as the RN3.
RN3 processor match the Sony Xperia X, which sells for RM2499.

Newly launched Samsung Galaxy A9 and Vivo V3Max using the SD652 processor.

That's why the only sensible option, 5.5" screen phone, left only RN3. Even RN2 still hold it's own against these alternative.
If really don't want AP set, and want cheap original set, then may aim at Lazada sales(Seller now jack up the price of ori set at Gemfive)

RN3 with it's bigger brother, Mi Max.

One thing disappoint me is the MIUI 8 for Redmi Note 3 Qualcomm would be only Android 5.1.1, same for Redmi Note 2 MIUI 8, will be only Android 5.0. Redmi Note MIUI 8 also stuck on Android 4.4 only.

I think this only happen on Redmi device.
The Mi3, Mi4, and Mi Note all get Android 6.0 already even in MIUI 7.

This is the fate of Redmi device.

The Redmi Note 3G/4G still stuck on Android 4.4 for 2 years already.

However, to be fair, MIUI experience still the same across all Android version, won't notice much different if not checking the phone's Android version.

Hmm.... Hope Mi Max get next version of Android.
But still, as normal user, won't be much different.
I still has device that running Android 4.2.2,l and Android 4.4.2.
All apps are working fine.
Maybe, except Facebook, old Android cannot view 360 photo and cannot Facebook Live.
